I saw in an auction the Tokina AT-X for Canon EOS. I asked the seller which version of the lens he is selling and he told me it was the Tokina AT-X AF 2.8 300mm "I" . But I can't find any information about the version Nr. 1 Then I sent him a link to the picture of the 300mm AT-X "II" and he said, that his lens looks exactly like the AT-X "II".

Which one is it now the version I or II ?? Does this two versions look alike?

How old is the version I ??
