Last Sunday (July 8th) I went up to Skowhegan MX and have to say that all the hype is RIGHT ON THE HEAD!! The place is great! The sign up line was never longer than 4 people deep. The people were great. And the track was one of the most fun tracks i have ever rode on in my life! Excellent jumps that were really cool but still very safe for anyone, awesome dirt, and great terrain!! After the first practice heat i told someone about a spot on the track that was very dusty and hard to see...they instantly sent someone over to water and there was no more dust all day. Laura and Todd, who run the track, are always around asking everyone how they are doing! And the "cost per lap ratio" was incredible! Each class had 2 practice laps and two 7 lap motos! And the track isnt short either...my guess is its between 3/4 and 1 mile long. I raced 2 classes and rode 32 laps for 30 bucks!! Talk about being sore come monday!

The pictures don't do the track any justice! You will realize this as soon as you pull in! Dave and I are going to try and put up some video of the track up to show it better. In the mean time...GET UP THERE! Its worth the ride. Hell, its 5 1/2 hours for me and i think it was definatly worth it.

Oh yea, props for our host Dave (who has no claimed #4) for finally making the big step-up and Adam #982 for walking away from two awesome crashes!!

How far from Boston is Skowhegan? I am healing up from a separated shoulder and would like to try this track out. Can anyone tell me the directions to the track and how long of a drive it is? It takes me 1 hour to get to South Berwick, Me if that helps? Gary Lussier Expert #37

I claimed number 4 Because my ass is PULLING 4 all you motocrosser's/dealers ! and it was one of the last singal digits that skowhegan had ! hee hee hee.. but if you want to get you ass out there and race ! Its about 2 hours from the new hampshire / maine bridge! my guess is 3-3.5 hours from boston??

95 NORTH to exit 36 (skowhegan) at the bottom of the ramp you take a right (north on RT201) drive for about 7 miles thru a little town called Hinkley, look for a little mom and pop gas station on right. take your next right on RT 23 (over the bridge) then take imidiate Left after crossing the bridge. drive down about 3 miles and the skowhegan sports mans club will be on your left. (track is behind the building down the hill)

gary, I really hope you go to skowhegan. last year I raced all nesc, but this year, no matter if its central village or not, I'm going to skowhegan, long races, decent track and its layed back... its very fun
