Can I put a 70 minute family album cut on a cmx professional editing system on a video cd. Friends at my job (I edit on non-linear digital Sony es-7) tell me the max will be about 30 minutes. The original was shot on Hi 8. then dubbed to a/b roll betacam sp tapes. They were edited through the cmx with dissolves etc. including music and narration. It's a professional job that is now on vhs for my family. Can it be done to video cd using my: ce quadrant burner with win on cd plus my gateway 233 with 160 megs ram total. 4 gig hard drive. no capture card yet (will cheap under $100 card do? Should I just pay someone big bucks for this one time job of preserving the project before my beta sp maste tape gets too old. Quality looks good even after two vhs generation dubs. Original material is black and white photography of dad's professional photography and personal photography of his kids and life.
