hi i have a 2000 yz 125 and i always am worried about over reving and blowing up the bike, could you tell me how i should know when i am over reving and when i need a rebuild, how long does it take for you racers top end to go. thanks alot

You should shift when your bike is making a lot of noise and not going anywhere.I ( my dad) rebuild my 125's about every few months. But i ride 3 days a week. If you omly ride it every once and a while you can go longer.

two stroke bikes are made to be rung out to be wide open all t he time. just shift when the bike not picking up speed at the gear that u are in and the re-build i re-build my bike every 4 races and that is practicing 2 times a week and racing on the weekends
