Small things:

Shamgar had an ox goad. David had a sling. Dorcas had a needle. Rahab had some string. Mary had some ointment. Moses had a rod. What small thing do you have that you'll dedicate to God?

What can God use to accomplish His purpose? Anything we will give Him, but especially He delights in using small things:

A shepherd's rod..................Ex. 4:2

The jawbone of an ass.............Judges 15:15

Five smooth stones................1 Sam. 17:40

A handful of meal.................1 Ki. 17:12

A little jar of oil...............2 Ki. 4:2

A small cloud.....................1 Ki. 18:44

A little man......................Zech. 4:10

A mustard seed....................Matt. 13:32

Five loaves and two fishes........John 6:9

Sure Things

1. The testimony (word) of the Lord is sure. Ps. 19:7; Ps. 111:7; 2 Pt. 1:19

2. The judgement of God is sure. Ps 58:11

3. The coming of the Lord is sure. Joel 2:1

4. Be sure your sin will find you out. Numb. 32:23

5. You shall surely die. Gen. 2:17; Heb. 9:27

6. Faith in Jesus Christ is the only sure hope for eternity. Heb. 6:19,20

7. The blessing of God is sure to the faithful. Ps. 23:6

Things Which Must Be

1. Because of sin, you must surely die. Gen. 2:17; Ro. 5:12

2. Therefore, we must all appear before the judgment seat. 2 Cor 5:10

3. Because of this, we must be born again. Jo. 3:7

4. Therefore, the gospel must be preached. Mk. 13:10

5. The one who comes to God must believe. Heb. 11:6

6. These things being true, we must pay much closer attention to the things which we have heard. Heb. 2:1
