What the hell, are you kidden? (No offense but) That girl doesnt now what shes talkin about. A powerband is not a part. Its how the bike hits, revs, etc. Changes with sprocket ratios and gearing, reeds, etc can change everything.Dont listen to everything you hear.

Sorry My computer has been messing up lately. So please forgive me if it prints any articles more than once.

Well this is what I think, yamahas do wear out there powerbands in very short time due to the retasitor belt located in the cylinder head, combined with the valves, cam shaft and master cylinder, so I would definitely consider getting a whole new powerband, and don't listen to the guy that says powerbands aren't a physical part, he's probably just jealous because he got ripped off on the last one he bought or something, so once you get that new powerband in I wanna see that yamaha pulling some holeshots.

I asked my dad.He rebuilds road racing bikes & mx bikes all the time that dont blow up or die. I'm not trying to be ruid or anything, thats just what it is.

Actually, when I'm not using my powerband I tie my hair back with it!

TomL.. I've also heard that the use of Pro-Long in your dirtbike engine can increase the life of your powerband 18-fold!!!!

Hey adam leave my sponser out of this! Pro long rules!! I can ride my bike with no oil and it will start even if frozen in a block of ice!!!

look guys, i just got the sickest powerband on earth and now i have all my confidence back. My bike used to sputter all the time and it ran like shit. i talked to Leightons and they set me up with a factory yamaha works kit. I know i could beat everyone in the NESC if my bike would've just ran better the last year and a half. The thing that suks is that injuries have kept my blazing speed down to a reasonable pace. You shouldve see me the other day! i was out riding and i saw this hill------ i hit the thing 6th gear wide, jumped over a river and landed on the downside about 190ft ft away, it was even sicker then the time i seathopped the elevator at gainesville on an 80. watch out guys, im back, look out!
