Batter Up!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Hedgehog Talk : One Thread

Who would you switch-hit for? Meaning, who would you go gay or go straight for, whichever you usually aren't going? At first I chose Shirley Manson, but then I remembered Winona Ryder.

Don't even have to think about it: Gillian Anderson. Catherine Zeta-Jones is my number two choice.

-- Carol (webgal@ordinarygoddess.com), July 11, 2000.

I saw Garbage at the Sydney Showgrounds a couple of years a go, and Shirley Manson is just amazing. Strength and power and all in this quite small package. That appeals. Angelina Jolie would probably be a good bonk but a major headfuck.

-- Amanda Page (amanda@amandasprecipice.com), July 11, 2000.

If I had a sex-change first, then I could choose Winona Ryder too, right?

It's funny. I usually think of myself as fairly open-minded, but I guess if I can sit and stare at the screen for five minutes without a glimmer of an idea, I guess the answer is nobody. Well, as the saying goes, just because I'm straight doesn't mean I'm narrow.

wait... Timothy Dalton? no... Pierce Brosnan? no... never mind.

-- Colin (ethilrist@prodigy.net), July 11, 2000.

Matt Damon and Derek Jeter. Or, maybe I should say "or". Nah, I guess I'll leave it as is.

-- jon arthur (zanne1504@aol.com), July 11, 2000.

This question comes up during every game of "would you rather" and my favorite answer has to be Big Ev's, who always says, "Mike Myers."

What a freak.

-- anne (annegrrl@chickmail.com), July 11, 2000.

Ellen Barkin in "The Big Easy" and/or Lena Olin in "The Unbearable Lightness of Being". In a heartbeat.

-- Tracy (newirtht@gtlaw.com), July 11, 2000.

Mike Myers? Now that's just weird. I must also admit that I don't see the appeal of Shirley Manson or Winona Ryder. She's so tiny and twig like. I'd be afraid to break her. To each her own, I guess.

I think I'll have to go with... drum roll to hold the suspense... Wilson Cruz. He's such a cutie.

-- KT (yahoo@yahoo.com), July 11, 2000.

Keanu Reeves for sure, when I watched "Speed" I could not decide who was cuter Keanu or Sandra Bullock : )

-- Daniel (truth60@yahoo.com), July 11, 2000.

Drew Berrymore and Nathalie Merchant.

-- Jackie (jackie@jackie.nu), July 12, 2000.

Hrm. How do you answer this question if you're bi? ;)

But, as far as someone of my own gender, I'd say definitely Catherine Zeta Jones (GOD, Cathy! You could do SO much better than creepy old Michael Douglas, girl!) and Angelina Jolie (who's also with a creepy old man, what the hell?!), just for the bad girl factor.

Honestly though, CZJ just takes my breath away. She's beyond beautiful.

-- Lisa (lisa@selkie.net), July 12, 2000.

Well, hmmm...i think if i could magically be straight i'd go for the guy that plays jack on will & grace. too cute and hilarious.

-- Linsey (writergirl76@hotmail.com), July 12, 2000.

Sharon Stone.

-- Robyn (robyn@hiwaay.net), July 12, 2000.

Pamela Lee. Hubba hubba.

-- carolyn (tangp@stratos.net), July 12, 2000.

I'd want me some Ashley Judd.

-- muffet (muffet@xoommail.com), July 12, 2000.

Meg Ryan.

-- Colleen (triggirl@yahoo.com), July 12, 2000.

Gillian Anderson, and Tori Amos, I must have a thing for redheads.

-- windy (windmistress@sprintmail.com), July 12, 2000.

I can't believe no one has said Jodie Foster. Mmmmm, Jodie.

-- Beth (beth@xeney.com), July 12, 2000.

Hey! Bisexuals bat and pitch! Yeah!

So what'm I supposed to answer? Hm. If I were straight, I'd get me a piece of Lawrence Fishburne, Kevin Spacey (if only he were straight) and The Big and Dumb Dean Cain. Yowza.

If I were gay, I'd grab ahold of Angelina Jolie (she's bugfucked, I know, but god is she hot), Winona Ryder and Lucy Liu. Yum.

Since I'm bi, I guess it's twice the selection at half the price. Hoo-ha!

-- Jen (maharishe@yahoo.com), July 12, 2000.

"I'm a boy and you're a girl-- la la la la la la la la..."--The Smiths

I choose Beatrice Dalle. She is the embodiment of Eros. American actresses are slight--they lack sensuality.

-- Poppy (ithesky@aol.com), July 13, 2000.

ellen barkin in anything, anywhere. especially as in Down By Law though. yum. Laura Dern in Wild at Heart.

-- trouble (djripley@gurlmail.com), July 13, 2000.

Elizabeth Taylor when she was in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. If Maggie the Cat appeared on my doorstep in a slip, not only would I switch- hit, I would change teams. Or Debra Messing.

-- Carmen (carmen_1022@yahoo.com), July 13, 2000.

Well, I guess since I am gay then I would have to go straight....mmmm guess Lucy Liu...she's scaucy!

-- Bill (wessonw@mindspring.com), July 14, 2000.

(Hmmm... I'm into butches, does this mean I have to pick a femme *and* a boy?) Femmey type: Gina Gershon (like that's a secret) Boy: Ben Affleck, in a heartbeat. Or Keanu Reeves.

-- Tynan (ty@power-lines.com), July 14, 2000.

Anybody else remember watching last season's finale of Friends? Tom Selleck reprised his role as Monica (Courtney Cox Arquette-- tell me again why she married that guy?)'s former love interest, Richard.

There was this one scene where Monica goes to Richard's apartment and he's standing holding the door open and because of what they're talking about Richard/Tom heaves this big ol' sigh. And his enormous, 1/4-mile thick man pecs get this excellent definition through his shirt.

I happened to be on the phone with Paula while I had the show on and that very moment I said to her, "My god, Tom Selleck is just a fine, fine hunk of man, isn't he? Wow. Yeah, I'd do him."

When I sobered up, I reconsidered. I doubt I'd actually do him, but I do think he's about the finest looking man alive. Y'all can keep your George Clooney; that I don't understand. Tom Selleck though... I'd probably at least mack with him good... if he wanted.

(And unless you count the influence of workday boredom, I'm sober right now. Sheesh.)

-- Michael (mwalsh@lynx.neu.edu), July 14, 2000.

Michael:

My husband is straight as a ... uh, thing that's really straight, but he never hesitates to point out a really good-looking guy. It's kind of cool, though it freaked me out when we first got together.

-- Robyn (robyn@hiwaay.net), July 14, 2000.

I'd have to second the Beatrice Dalle observation...and this is shamefully obvious, Kate Winslet or Uma Thurman. I guess if I was bi I'd have a thing for pre-raphaelite chickyboos.

-- Blanche Blank (Mireillie@yahoo.com), July 15, 2000.

Liz Hurley. Actually, I don't have "the hots" for her, so to speak, but I just love the way she speaks and I think she's pretty in that supermodelbeautifulbutsortofreal-looking way.

-- Stef (stef@stef.net), July 15, 2000.

Lolita Davidovich. She is just beautiful.

-- Nancey (ndinardi@athm.org), July 18, 2000.

Seth Green. Go figure. I think it has more to do with personality than looks, but he's damned cute anyway.

And Tom Selleck, but he'd be more of a big brother / daddy type for me. I just couldn't imagine myself being mature enough to date him.

sharleen spiteri...as she was in 97....she is just awesome

-- andrea (vcsunrise@yahoo.com), August 30, 2001.

Yeah, Sharleen Spiteri. I'd love to have a hot threesome with her and some really hot well-hung guy. I'd love to watch her have hard sex with him before I dive in.

-- Kathy (kgreen@edi.ie), September 14, 2001.

well im bi but i'd go all out gay for angelina jolie, half cause shes hot as hell an half cause shes the actress most likely to be as head fucked as i am. id fuck eliza dishku too.

-- Ahote (SwayPsycho147@hotmail.com), January 06, 2002.

finally have an answer for this one. liv tyler in the lord of the rings. pointy ears and everything. mmmmmmm....

-- nicole (nicolemrw@yahoo.com), January 15, 2002.

Sharleen Spiteri. I would eat that girl's pussy all night long if I had the chance. I'm Bi but I generally prefer men but Sharleen makes me WET every time.
