I was doing this HUGE hill climb before in a PIT, about 3 years ago (PA Landers kingston MA). and I got up to the top and lost the bike. I tumbulled down about 2/3 of the hill. and not knowing were the bike was. About 3-5 seconds later the bike crashed on top of me. and I got my hand stuck in the rear tire well the bike was still running ! on my left hand, my pinky finger was broken and hanging on from just a small piece of skin ! but the doctors were able to re-attach it and everything was ok ! Boy all this talk about crashing is making me want to RIDE !

I came up short on a triple that was right out of a corner. I broke both my wrists and slammed my "manly" thang on the tank so hard I didn't know where I was.. I broke my left wrist in 3 spots and my right in 4.. Talk about pain...

Back in "91" when Middleboro had a *!it load of rocks (its not much better now), I end-owed a table top and landed on a monster rock, the the guy behind be landed on top of me, crushing me between his skid plate and the rock. I got a coumpound fracture on my collar bone. The best part about it was the the look on the the flagers face when he seen my collar bone hanging out. If that flager is around and reads this I'd love to hear from you. I hope your not having any nightmares!!!

i was racing the 125 class and it was the first lap .3 corners into the race there was a tabletop and after that there was alittle strait that was rutted pretty bad. when i went over the jump a kid on a yz cross-rutted and cut in front of me i t-boned him in 4 gear went over him and the two bikes .because the flaggers $uck a amatuer ran over my chest and broke to ribs,my ankle, my index finger, then in all this quick time my bike ended up falling on me with the pipe on my arm and scared me with a 3rd degree burn for thge rest of my life and the size on a 1$ bill . so yea it sucked but i didi finish the race and when all the shaking went away after the race i had to be draged to the ambulance. have fun riding bye guys

Last year at E. Lemster I was on the last lap when I hit the second spectator jump . Little did I know that there was a big rock at the top of the lip . I hit the rock and tried to panic rev the bike to keep the front end up . Well , I hit the gas befor getting in the air , over jumped it , flipped over frontwards and landed in the flat after the jump . I'd say it was a 25 foot drop onto my head with my bike right behind me . I ptu both my arms out as a reaction so I wouldn't break my neck . When I landed all the force went onto my left wrist . I scrambled to the side of the track and was ready to get back on my bike when I saw my left wrist . My bone had gone throug the skin and my hand was just hanging there . I also broke my arm right above the wrist and tore everything off my left knee . If you catch me at the reaces you can still see my battle scar . It's my one reminder of my biggest crash . Oh that and my crooked left arm

i was in my back yard doing laps around my pool. it was the fastest i have ever gone. i was in second bogging. my dog ran in front of me, i clipped his back legs, lost control ran over my granny, then i was in a flying W, hit the pool and all my gear got wet. my gram got a compound fractior to her toe and my dog is in a doggy wheelchair for the rest of his life.

Well hello! I heard you are requesting "worst crashes". Now I know ya'll probaly remember me as the "where to find powerbands". Anyways my worst crash was when I was young, carefree and 47 years of age. I was pretty spunky back then and really had a "I'll do what I want" attitude. So back in 87' I was at the track and not to anyones surprise ( including my children/grandchildren) I was flying over jumps, bursting into corners, the whole 9 yards. Just as I was in midair. I suddenly got a stroke and fell. 25 feet down and not knowing what was about to happen I continued falling. I woke up several hours later. I soon learned I took out 5 othersriders, some old people, a couple of pets and 2 little kids as well. So, I couldn't move. Tempolarily parilized from the calfs down. Well that did it: never rode again. Flat on nosed quit. Good luck and saftey riding.

WELL FOR ME THERE IS A TIE... MIDDLEBORO AND JOLLY ROGERS ! 1.MIDDLEBORO- I WAS BATTLEING WITH MY FRIEND NIKKI AND WE WENT DOWN THE STRAIGHT AWAY IN FRONT OF THE FINISH LINE AND WENT OFF THE NEXT TABLE TOP THEN THE LITTLE STRAIGHT BETWEEN THAT JUMP AND THE SPECTATOR JUMP I GOT ALOT OF HEAD SHAKE AND I WENT UP THE FACE OF THE SPECTATOR ALREADY HANGING OFF MY BIKE AND WHEN I LANDED I JUST WENT FLYING OFF MY BIKE ... AND I TUMBLED ALL THE WAY TO THE CORNER PRACTICALY...AND MY BIKE I JUST SAW FLOPPING AND KART-WHEELING THROUGH THE AIR... 2. JOLLY ROGERS- NEMA RACE.. WAS DURING PRACTICE I WAS GOING UP TO ONE OF THEM TABLE TOPS THAT HAVE A HUGE DOWN HILL LANDING.(THE BIG TABLETOP) AND I HAD ENOUGH SPEED TO THE JUMP BUT AT THE FACE OF IT WAS A PATCH OF MUD SO I HIT THAT AND IT SLOWED ME DOWN AND I WENT OFF THE JUMP AND WENT STRAIGHT UP IN THE AIR AND WENT ACROSS THE JUMP ANDAT THE LANDING MY REAR TIRE CLIPPED THE EDGE OF THE JUMP AND MY FRONT END WENT SLAMMING DOWN AND IT THROUGH ME OVER THE BARS..AND BELEIVE ME THAT WAS A LONG TIME IN THE AIR APART FROM MY BIKE ! I TRIED TO STAND UP AND I COULDNT SO THE "EMT" CAME OVER AND TOOK OFF MY BOOT AND KNEE PAD TO SEE IF ANYTHING WAS BROKEN BUT LUCKLY I ONLY PULLED MY CALF MUSCLE !! SO THANK GOD NOTHING WORSE HAPPEND !

Back in '69 I was comin off a 3 day opium binge. Sittin on the edge of my bed, I watched vivid colors assault me from my black & white TV. for an hour and a half. That's when the bats flew out of the screen and started dive- bombing me from the ceiling. It took me 8 or 10 minutes to gather my wits enough to turn off the damn tube. It wasn't even friggin on!!!!!! The bats continued their Blitzkrieg for hours! I can't show you the scars, but believe me, they are still there.

my little bro and I were pit racin out in jolley's sand and gravel in danielson ct. after this one right hander going into a 75 yd. straight there was a cantalope sized loose rock, instead of gettin of the 86 cr 250 to remove the obstacle we just avoided it lap after lap until a memory lapse on my part (el mistako grande) the next thing I remember was my kid brother leanin over me while I stupidly asked him "which way were we going" first words out of my mouth after a 30 second nap.....we still laugh about it.

This is not the worst crash or anything but it was a cool looking cut. Last year at southwick the 2'nd moto of the 112 open took off. I was in this moto. I started off about 14 and on the 2'nd lap i was in about 9'th. I was about to pass a certain rider who was all over the track. Then he cut into my line going up the mechanix area hill. He high sided right when he crossed ocer then i went right into him. I went right over the bars and landed on his footpeg. It ripped my right knee right open. I got up and finished th race in about 19'th. Everyone (family members, freinds, etc.)new something was wrong when i was barely clearin that little step down. Then my dad walked my bike back to the moterhome. We were parked near the food stand. I knew something was wrong when blood started to appear on my pants. Then when i took my pants off in the moterhome, My knee was wide open. You could sea the knee cap and muscles. Then when i got to the hospital i got 20 stitches. Ohhh yeah and ***** remember when you were rackin on me cause i couldnt do my last moto. At least i finished the race. You only fell going 2 miles per hour and hit your ankle. And couldnt finish

-- justin watt (motoman54@hotmail.com), July 12, 2000.

it was the first race of the fall series for NEMA they were sending too many kids out of the gate the gate wasnt big enough, and they wouldnt double gate it , so every moto there was a first turn pile up . in the first moto i was about 8th off the start going into the corner when a kid wheelied into the side of someone elses bike causing both of them to go down which started a huge line of crashes i had it pinned fourth gear getting roosted by an rm when i saw an opening went for and the rm went for it also thats when i hit the pile i went over the handlebars did a full flip and a half hit head first into a bike my bike landed on me then two more and my head got run over. there were about 19 kids in the accident. i couldent breath and was all dizzy and i couldent move my leg or my wrist the emts checked me out and brought me to the hospital i broke my wrist, pulled my knee had a bruise on my forehead and was goddam sore all over. that was only 2 weeks ago.still have a few more weeks in the cast

I have taken many crashes and the one that sticks in my mind is as follows: A couple of years ago I dislocated my shoulded riding and also tore my R.C. in the same shoulder. I was operated on at N.E. Medical Center in Boston and was in for 3 day's. After a week at home and after very strict orders not to do anything with that arm from the doctor, I did not listen. My wife was keeping a close eye on me making sure I rested and did'nt further mess up my shoulder. So one day when she went to work I took off the sling and got out the wheelbarrow and started to work around the yard. Before I knew it, the wheelbarrow was full and very heavy which caused the tire to almost go flat. The area I have for dumping is at the top of a hill out back, so I went for it. I hit the hill wide open and the wheel protector on the front of the wheelbarrow dug into the hill and I went up and over the wheelbarrow and landed in front of it. I was hurting very bad because my operation was very fresh. In any case I got up as fast as I could and hoped the neighbors did not see me. One minute later my brother showed up (Tim NESC 737)and said, why are you all covered with dirt? I told him what happened and now I am only allowed to work in the yard with full motocross gear on. Boy was my wife made and I almost did not get my new CR250.

um.. i got tons of crashes. I crash too much... these are my worst ones.

1. at jolly rogers (my first real crash) i was comming up on the checker and my bike hit a whoop wrong... i ended up cartwheeling through the checker ( i did make it over and finished the race) the bike landed on me. I broke two ribs, and bruised my spleen.

2. again at jolly rogers... i was comming up on the step up... a kid cut me off in the air cuz i was gonna pass him, and i landed on him. Next lap, he went and cut me off again... he didn't do the jump and i did.. again i landed on him. This time my hand got stuck in his sproket and he dragged me to the corner. ( i only popped my sholder out that day)

3. this time at middleboro.... this kid went off the spectator jump sideways... lost control and hit me in the air... i went flyin down the hill tangled in his bike. I dind't know i was hurt... because it was my back, and it takes 48 hours for a back injury to kick in.. i ended up having internal bleeding in my spine and seperated 2 disc's with swelling in my lower back. NOT FUN!

4. This season.. again at jolly... (this is my most famous crash and it's embarrassing..lol) my throttle got stuck.. i jumped a berm, and hit a sprinkler knocking it down. I re-broke the 2 ribs from before...

It was about 1970, made amature at 15, just got a new yamaha 250 DT-2 MX. The place.. localt town dump practice track, it was fast straight's up and back ( like middleboro ) i was getting ballzie wickin it up. Low and behold,,, my brain didn't tell me i had had enought and when i came down the straight wide open, i mean WFO IN 5th, my front wheel caught a sand hole, well , i'm in the guiness book of records for the longist tank slapper and cartwleel , when i was spit off at MEGA sound barrier speed my mouth and nose became packed with dirt from skidding on the ground. fellow riders had to use sticks to open the airway's as i was beyond purple ! After the rescue carted me away, I awoke two day's later from a concussion and unconciousness. no broken bones, but , that was a scary one !!!!!!! couldn't ride for about 3 weeks after that ..it was VICIOUS and thats the one i'll never forget .

there all bad but the one i though was the worst was kappakid420.let me know who you thinks is the worst?

-- justin watt (motoman54@hotmail.com), July 14, 2000.

Hmm, after all reading all these riders dumb stories of gibberish, I debateed that Anna Smithols is the worst and funniest. But I don't know anything at my old age, yous kids now-a-days are spunky and you think diffrently, Anna Smithol had some bad crashes back in the day, and by golly, those were the good times. Well you decide which crash is the best.but please take into consideration that Anna Smithol has lived a interesting and spunky filled life and her crash is pretty bad. Falling from a stroke!! Well, laters.

Hello all, well it was in 1997, i was in the 125 B class in NEMA at Jolly Rogers, i was in 3rd place out of 53 kids and we were aprouching the big down hill near the old start, well the 4th place kid came up next to me right at the top of the hill and grabbed my handlebars and twisted them, i flipped and tumbled all the way down the hill,(having 49 bikes behind me i prolly got ran over a lil but was knocked out so i couldnt tell ya) when i woke up the first thing i remember seeing was a CR going over me..i tried to stand but my left leg wouldnt work, i kinda crawled off the track and when this fat old medic got to me he pulled my pants down, saw that my knee cap was aup around my hip, pushed it down into place, and yelled at me when i told him my leg was broken so he made me walk 6 stepps(stumble)...well, they finally beleived me sent me to the hospital and found out that i broke the ball off the bone thats under your knee cap and tore the tendon off teh ball, so i had to have a 3 and a half inch screw put into my knee to hold the tendon onto the ball and the ball back onto the bone, i was bed riding for a few months and in a wheel chair for 6 months and on crutches for 3... well 6 surgeries and a few years later, i am back jumping and not sucking all that bad anymore, and i am finally out of the C class...my knee is still messed up and they want to take a bone out of my hip and put it in my knee, but i am going to have to be bed riddin another 6 months for that!! SCREW THAT!!
