I think it is a Mennonite publication. Check Lehmans's catalog I think I saw it in there yesterday.

I don't know if this is the book that you are talking about or not;but I have a book called "living on less" by The Mother Earth News. It was published in 1984 in Hendersonville, N.C.

It's the "More-with-Less Cookbook" by Doris Janzen Longacre, commissioned by Mennonite Central Committee, Akron, Pennsylvania in response to world food needs. The publisher is Herald Press, Scottdale, Pennsylvania; Kitchenerm, Ohio (c)1976.The copy I have is the 35th printing July 1987. I don't know if they have later editions...you might try ebay or some of the other used book locators on line.
I got mine at the St. Vincent dePaul thrift store for 99 cents! It's a great find for eating low on the food chain. I use it a lot!

She also wrote "Living More With Less". It's still in print, but probably you could find it at one of the used book sites.

I am a big fan of both books. You have the specifics on the More with Less Cookbook, but here are the others: Living More with Less by Doris Janzen Longacre ISBN 0-8361-1930-4 (1980).Here is another one that is a wonderful meal planner. Extending the Table... A world community cookbook by Joetta Handrich Schlabach. "Commissioned by the Mennonite Central Committee" ISBN 0- 8361-3561-X (1991)
I recently got these last two from Amazon after borrowing them from my sister many times. Both good reads!

Both of the books by Doris can easily be purchased or ordered new at bookstores. I refer to them often when I need inspiration. I also grab any used copies I find cheap at garage sales or library sales. I have a really hard time buying NEW books as I'm a book addict and it sure can get costly! (Only non-fiction.)
