July 10, 2000 Gasoline Found In Storm Drains

Cobb County firefighters want to know how gasoline got into the storm drains around a Mableton neighborhood. Fumes reached dangerous levels yesterday, forcing the evacuation of three dozen homes. About 65 people were taken to the Mabelton Baptist Church for six hours, until rescue workers could get rid of the problem.
