Scott Carter...for rider rep.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : New England Motocross Racing : One Thread

Today at Middleboro Scott Carter and myself Max Candudus went to protest .We were there for all 39 or however many riders were suspended from there, also we wanted to gain rider suport.Keep in mind Scott was not suspended from there, therefor allowing him to get into the track. It also means he could have raced there the second half like Pat Barton, but he opted to help bring about change in the N.E.S.C.(he also has contracts sometimes its not all about the money pat).Needless to say Norman banned scott from Middleboro for life. Our fight is not with Middleboro ,but with the N.E.S.C. its self, because if we were under proper leadership the track would not be allowed to be in that condition in the first place. We need to put in place a governing body thats unbiased that has no vested intrest in the sport of motocross. This means no race promoters or racers with total power over our sport, and how its run week to week.My goal is to see the riders, track promoters, and the N.E.S.C. all work together to better our sport not try to get rich off us.I hope all you riders support your suspended riders in there quest to fight the N.E.S.C. and track promoters(which is one in the same right now)to gain a vote in what, where, and when we race certain tracks, and how there layout is maintained. max candidus P.S. thank you scott carter for not thinking of yourself and the money you could have made.

Congratulations Scott on continuing to take your stand. The NESC is afraid of the riders uniting and forcing a change. I also support that the current NESC board needs to be changed to a group with a non- vested interest...or at the very least, we need to add depth to the voting body to ensure that the riders interests are represented. This goes with the NERC idea of rider reps from every class having a vote. We also should not have a track owner as a president. How are they going to vote in the interests of the riders??? We do all need to have open views, and in order to be heard, the riders need to do what the governing body is afraid of...standing together until they are forced to listen. My support and thanks go out to all involved in this situation. Thank you for starting the revolution, it needed to be done. Shane

scott was banned for life???? it must have been because he was threatening people to sign the potition right. what was the reason ? norman has gotten way out of control not this matter !! because there is no reason scott should have been banned for going around trying to get signatures!!!!!

Max,in your letter above it says: "Needless to say Norman banned Scott from Middleboro for life." What on earth for? What did HE do? Do you think Norman could possibly need to see a doctor for some "disorder" of some kind??

HEY Smuck "mxracerXXX" why don't you use your own name. I post things here for constructive upgrades to help mx racing and do not appreciate you trashing my name - with your email, I can help you out with spam should you continue.

Get a life or post to help. I have 23 years NESC background. I would love to see it once again "farm top professional riders" like JoJo Keller, Jim Ellis, Jim Meenan, John Dowd and Doug Henry.

FYI scott carter was in the face of many people at the races. how do i know? i was right there when he was acting so immature. he was yelling at everyone because they didnt agree. he does not deserve to have n e thing to do with the committee because he is such a LOSER! he does the stupidest stuff and then gets away with it but this time it didnt work and i personally am glad! i am glad he was banned 4 life because he has no right to go up to some1 and threaten them because they dont go along with his stupid plans. i was 4 the nerc but now that every1 is trying to get carter to be a rider rep i am begining to hate it.

"SHANE" what fictitous world do you live in? Dude you better layoff the crackpipe because it has contorted your grasp of reality. Just in case you are still submerged in your world of make believe and anonynimity (please enter your full name-these computers are like beer; under there influence you talk like a tough guy but in reality your just peon). What REALLY transpired was I got up at 6:00 to make the two hour trek to Middleboro. Seeing as I was not present at the last race (6/25) I could have rode if I chose. However, I decided to take on the cause of my fellow riders. My initiative on the contrary to what you have reported was to seek a rider rep (or some NESC official) to see what was done on the riders behalf during the week. Before long I found myself in a civil and intelligent conversation (something you are probably unfamiliar with "SHANE")about the tumultuous state of the NESC with rider rep Gary Mikalson. It must have been around this time your heroin kicked in "SHANE" and you lost sight of reality and embarked on some tangent of make believe. You also probably told your friends you won every moto and were pulling superman seat grabs over the BIG triple for your fans every lap. (That is if you have any friends, I've been told compulsive liars don' t have many friends just themselves). Anyway back to the matter at hand, Gary and I presented ideas to one another about the issues we face. Our conversation had lasted for about an hour and a half and in no way was it antagonistic or malicious in nature (as I'm sure Gary would parlay). At no time did I threaten or yell at another rider as I only talked to three my short time there. (Bill Dill, Jim Satryb, and motoman41) However, while I was talking to Gary, one of Normans thugs, we call him Buzzard approached me with two of Middleboro's finest? (cops). He presented me with a warrant for a lifetime expulsion from Capeway Rover's property, which would have been a dream come true under normal circumstances but I had done nothing to deserve something so worthy. I questioned Buzzard as to the reasoning of such a rational decision. He said he didn't need a reason and left it at that. It appalls me that in over 200 years of this countries existence we have plummeted so low that we can't express beliefs of what this nation was founded on! Absolutely pathetic! Now I recall why politicians, lawyers, law enforcement etc. make me sick. Upon my departure I saw Norman and asked why I was presented this fine piece of literature. He said I shouldn't get myself caught up with the "bad apples" and accused me of handing out propaganda to destroy his track. To my defense Gary explained that I wasn't running a covert opperation to sabbotage his track. Norman realized he and his thugs were wrong and told me I could re-enter the country club-like atmosphere of Capeway Rover's though I declined. However my partner in crime Maxwell (Magnum PI) Candidus talked to Norman for about 45 minutes. When he told him we were trying to rally support for the ouster of NESC board members his ears perked with interest. Norman believes many problems are attributed to Bernie (Southwick) and our own fearless leader Yvon. Kudos Norman, but it shouldn't take a degree from Harvard to see that's a problem. WAKE UP RIDERS!! Especially you SHANE!! Please SHANE focus the few brain cells you have left (probably from sniffing too much glue or hitting the can of spray paint)and try to make a difference. Riders, even though SHANE might be beyond hope we can make this a user friendly organization. We can be treated like respected customers, thus receiving the best service for our money possible. How can we go about doing this?? Stay Tuned--NERC is going to unvail the Master Plan........

THE THEORY BEHIND N.E.R.C.IS WELL THOUGHT OUT, AS WELL AS THE VISION OF ULTIMATELY THE WORK AND THE PROGRESS I BELIEVE N.E.R.C. WANTS TO BRING TO THE TABLE. I WOULD THINK THAT THE NUMBER ONE GOAL OF ANY "UNION" IS TO BRING THE TALENT (WORKFORCE, IN THE FORM OF THE PRO RIDERS) TOGETHER WITH MANAGEMENT.AFTER PERUSING THE NESC MESSAGE BOARD I HAVE ONE SUGGESTION, ALL OFFICERS OF N.E.R.C., PLEASE READ THE BOOK ENTITLED " THE ART OF THE NEGOTIATION"
