You say this whole thing is getting out of hand, but there is no other forum then this to convey a message to many different people...promoters, riders, spectators, etc. It's not about money any more either. Money is just one way of demonstrating a "loss" due to everything that is going on right now. How often do you ride NESC??? I know you're more of a NEMA rider, so I don't know how familiar you are with what occurs at NESC events. A NEMA event doesn't really compare to NESC in terms of how things are set up. NEMA is geared more towards kids. A good example of that is that a year or two ago, a child got hurt on the double by the old announcing tower, so NEMA wanted the double removed. When Bernie refused to remove it, they went around it. NESC is a much more competitive organization with winners and losers. There are no "participation awards" as there are in NEMA. NESC has more of the mentality that the riders will handle whatever the track happens to throw at them, and that the riders need the NESC, not the NESC needing the riders. I'm not knocking NEMA at all, but you're experiencing two totally different levels of racing. You say you're willing to support the cause, but you won't stop racing, or even race other tracks for a few weeks to help prove a point??? That doesn't seem like very much support to me. You say we should stop "arguing and fighting and unite," but if you choose to race...then you are not uniting with the other riders who are trying to force a change. Maybe you need to decide which side you're really on??? And maybe you need to decide what's more important, riding on tracks that aren't satisfactory at best and having things remain how they are, or to not race at all for a few weeks, take a stand and help to force a change??? Can you decide??? I can... Shane Anderson NESC Am #699

hey everyone... i don't think much of you have read the other stuff that matt has written on NEMA's board. All i gotta say is, he's confusing the heck out of me... MATT WHAT SIDE ARE YOU ON???? Here's what he wrote!

There is a lot of stuff going on between Middleboro Nesc and the riders and supporters of NESC...it doesnt really effect NEMA, but the NESC experts are trying to make the track better for the enxt generation...if we think about it...the track itself kinda sux, the double is retarded, all the jumps have kikers before practice even starts...SO MANY ROCKS, its like they layed 3 inches of sand on a rock bed...by the end of the day the ruts in the corners have boulders sticking up out of them, but by what has been going on and what i have heard through my lil connections, the track has been being worked on..i didntg eta chance to go to Middleboro today...but if any of you saw the track give us the changes' c ya at the races matthewL

So, chill on matt... he can just be annoying sometimes... well maybe all the time. (lol, jk big bro)

I wasn't coming down on Matt. Just telling him that he needs to decide where he truely stands and how strongly he supports what's going on. He also mentions "don't ask me to give up racing." Who's asking him to give up racing anyway??? He's a NEMA rider, this battle is between the NESC riders and the NESC. If he chooses to go to Middleboro for NEMA, that's fine...his decision. As mentioned before, you can't really compare how NEMA is run to how the NESC is run. Chances of the riders taking a stand like those of the NESC have are extremely small. This is for two reasons. The first one being is that "everyone gets along over there." And the second one being, NEMA is more for the kids, and they don't care about anything other then racing. That's the innocense of being young. But if he ever goes to Middleboro for NESC, he's not supporting the riders that have united. He just says one thing in one sentance, and then says something else in the other. Just try to think out what you're saying and make sure it makes sense as to weather you truely agree with it or not. Hopefully within a few weeks, at least some of the issues will be on their way to being resolved. That's only going to happen through rider unity and forcing those who currently have the power (those that run the NESC) to listen to us and give in to change. Like Scott Carter said, "It's time to take back the power." Shane Anderson NESC Am #699

OK PEOPLE...I am on your side, i agree with most of what has been said..iw ouldnt be human if i agreed with it all...i cant "unite" or whatever youw ant to call it with you, because as i said i am a 99% NEMA rider...i just look out for stuff bacause NEMA is pretty reatrded sometimes..and i know that i only have a year or 2 left before i would have to start racing the "grand prix" class...so i will prolly be a NESC rider from that point on..with a few NEMA'S inbetween...the reason is aid "just dont ask me to stop racing" is that i was expecting the next move on some of you guys halfs to ask other people from NEMA to boycott too, because i kno if they lost that much money from both their organizations theyw oyuld be screwed and would have to listen to what we(*you*) have to say..BUT DONT ET ANY IDEAS!!! k, any other uestions on my thoughts or hatever..EMAIL ME, dont bad mouth me on this page...unless i totally deserve it c ya'll later
