How about this?

OK, lets get this straight,is their someone(s) in charge of the NERC? If so, here is what I think should happen next(I do this for a living) Firstly, the members of the NERC should have a meeting (not on race day and not a bitch session!) to organize the issues that they want addressed and outline them on an agenda to present to Capeway Rovers at a later date. There should not be too many items outlined or it will get overwhelming. You can put all of the concerns in a priority list and go to the table with a few items at a time rather than 100. Sencondly when ALL of the issues have been addressed outlined and with reasonable solutions, the leader of the NERC should politley and proffesionally contact Capeway Rovers and ask to have a meeting(maybe on nuetral ground),to address the concerns that NERC has. You should make sure that when you attend the meeting you should have a copy of the agenda for them. Thirdly,(this is where the negotiating comes into play)at the time of the meeting keep the atmoshere positive! Maybe even bring Pizza or something. Do not go to the meeting with an attitude or say things like "The track sucks, it is never watered, you guys this, you guys that". Be open. It will only work if you can let the all of the bad words and hurtful feelings go. There have been alot of issues that have obviously been harbored for way too long on both sides. Let it go, and deal with the issues at hand. Say things like,"OK, the NERC would like to see some changes happen at Capeway Rovers, they are(for example),(A)Track safety-The NERC's and every riders primary concern is to see that the track is properly watered before practice and throught out the day as needed. We feel it is in Capeway Rovers, the riders, and spectators best interest to this for obvious reasons. There is probably nothing more scary that honkin' down one of those straights tapped wide open and plow over someone, hurting them and you because of dust. (B)Track layout and design-The NERC feels that with a collaborative effort between Capeway Rovers and the NERC, a more challenging and professional track design can be achieved. With all of the experience that the riders have, we can provide some reasonable changes to the existing design to make it more exciting and maybe even easier to maintain. Like actual downsides to the landings of jumps and properly made and spaced out rocker sections. Although Capeway Rovers has billed itself as the safest track in New England, it does need some work. A better track will result in more a more lucrative situation for everyone.(C)Quicker sign up/check out lines-This is a win win for both sides no matter what. Quicker sign in/checkout lines means more of everything for everyone. Longer practice for B and C riders, longer moto's, and an earlier time to go home. The NERC feels that if we can provide rider representatives to assist people with their paperwork/jerseys/helmets etc, this would help. Some people stand in the wrong lines, don't have a pen or anything to write on until they get to the window, and are first timers who don't know the routine yet. By presenting every issue with our reasonable solution, we put the responsibilty of making sure it happens on them. The NERC should also state that it will be inspecting the "Safety" issues addressed per event to ensure that they are getting done to satisfaction, or some sort of boycott will occur. These are just SOME of the issues that we all have experienced first hand at Capeway Rovers and seem like the first few items that need to be addressed when the NERC goes to the table. There are a lot of different ways to get what you want, sometimes you have to give a little more to get there. The most important part of this whole idea is to keep it positive, collaborative, and keep it cool, or the NERC will never get to "YES". I like Jack Camelio, I give him alot of credit, he has some balls for saying what is on his mind, rather than kiss some ass. Although some may say that, it is all in the way he delivers it that may turn people off.(Sorry Jack!!!, and by the way, STOP PRINTING IN CAPS ALL THE TIME, YOU ARE KILLING MY EYES!!!) The NERC needs a more positive approach to the situation when it comes down to the negotiations. The last time I checked the tracks needed us and we needed the tracks. I don't know if any of you feel this way, I hope that maybe when the NERC organizes itself, it will listen to some of what I have to say about the situation. Thanks for listening, peace, love and chicken grease-Joshua #271 Vet B

Josh, you're on the right track. I think 10 riders should make up the board , maybe you should be one. Dave Clemance, MIke Treadwell, Leo Candidus, Mark Paules, Mike Degaetano, to name a few level headed riders. I hope everything works out, I've been so busy at work lately this is the closest I get to the races. I'm still working on the benefit for Mike. I'll meet with the farmer this Sunday and post the results.

I was under the impression when this boycott all started it wasn't about just Middleboro, but about NESC. Southwick has the worst signup of all the tracks , and Bullrun has yvon( that says it all) but since the boycott started at Middleboro and they didn't just lay down and rollover(who really expected that to happen) it has become a battle of wills against Middleboro and nothing else. Shouldn't everybody step back (including Norman) and realize it isn't just one track it is THE NESC COMMITTEE that was supposed to be boycotted and changed because if we lose Middleboro we still have 3 other tracks that are following Yvon and the other memebers of the board and are just as "unsafe" "dusty" "long sign up lines" as Middleboro. So I just have one question what was the original boycott about, just Middleboro or NESC? Because I see by reading this message board almost everyone that so called supported the boycott of NESC paid Yvon plenty of money and put up with a whole bunch of crap and still rode his track. He wouldn't have sent out letters most likely barring riders from his track he would have probably handcuffed your to a tree and beat you with a billyclub. Sorry but I personally don't like the man or his additude with anybody including children and adults unless you kiss his butt, your no good.
