ATLANTA: 6,000 customers lose electric power

A tripped circuit breaker at a Georgia Power Co.
substation cut off electricity to about 6,000
customers Thursday afternoon, company officials
said. The breaker failed at 5 p.m., and power
was off for up to two hours in an area
including Moreland Avenue, Ponce de Leon
Avenue and Presidential Parkway. The cause
of the outage was under investigation.
