You've got to be kidding me, Certified Mail??

So this is whats it's all come down to, Amatuers and Novices getting suspended too! I honestly can't believe the audacity the NESC has for my recent suspension. And with complete disrespect for my actions. Let me just tell everyone that my friend Joe and I chose not to ride due to the time constraints the delay and protest placed upon us all. After careful deliberation with a gentleman behind the window, he said he understood, and NO PENALTY would be placed upon us. We paid our five dollars, moved our entry, and anxiously awaited this weekend, hoping the track would be different, SAFER, and more challenging. No such luck. To my suprise a letter came in the mail today, containing my entry form, and check for my entry fee, and a small note saying: "DUE TO THE SERIOUSNESS OF THE THREATS TO THE RIDERS WHO DID RIDE ON JUNE 25, 2000, YOUR RIGHT TO ENTER CAPEWAY ROVERS PROPERTY FOR THE YEAR 2000 HAS BEEN SUSPENDED. iF YOU FAIL TO ADHERE TO THIS RULING AND DO ENTER THE PROPERTY YOU WILL BE ARRESTED AND PROSECUTED." I threatened no one, I'm not even an expert. God knows I agreed with the reasons they had for not riding, but to tell me that I can't ride because people suposedly got threatened?? Some one needs to wake up and realize that actions like these against people like my friend and I won't help things ONE BIT!!! I have no idea what to do now, but this won't be forgotten.

All I gotta say... people have one right... and thats freedom of speech. If someone says that a track is unsafe (and at this time THE TRACK WASN'T SAFE) you cannot get suspended for that. No one threatened anyone and/or destroyed the track. So someone please clear up why this "drunken loser" decided to do this, and to inocent poeple?

if u look at messeges from right after the whole incident with middleboro then people were threatening other riders. they were threatening to take down the experts that rode. if that isnt threatening then i dont know wut is. i also no that riders were being threatened at the track by other riders and also board members and checkers. u guys threatened people right here on this very messege board but now u r denying it? i will show u one of the threats...

i agree. the 5 riders who rode today should be for warned that come next weekend they have a big bullseye printed in bold on their backs. (i hope god is on their side) see ya next weekend. great job leo on bringing us all togehter.

Shane,

I agree that there may have been a few things said that weren't cool ... Folks blowing off steam is all it was. I am not in any way condoning negative statements that were made, however, I know a lot of people at the races (including Jack) and Im am sure it was just HOT air! Unfortunately, statements like that do give the NESC and Norman something to dig into - but that's all they have. We (the riders) need to be smart about what we say! But let's face it, we've been feeling like this a long time and now we're *finally* understanding we're not alone. I for one haven't raced in a while because of all the reasons that have been posted. When racing becomes as much fun as riding you'll see alot more of #136!

-later.
