whille im readin the rule book . . .

greenspun.com : LUSENET : New England Motocross Racing : One Thread

im still reading this rule book ! and. . . it doesnt say ANYTHING about a rider can get suspended for seeing an injured rider.. (if you dont understand i mean : when i rider goes down and gets hurt..if another rider rides up there to go see him, if they are in the same class ) i feel like im still wording this wrong , but oh well.. you will get my point... no where in this whole book does it say anything about getting suspended for that ! it almost seems as though they are trying to suspend people so it wont be as crowded..but why would they do that .... it only means less money for them ! i dunno what is going on here !

Let me see if I understand this, a rider went down, a friend that was also racing that class stopped to see if the fallen rider was OK or needed help, and the person who stopped got suspended. Did this really happen?

What will be next suspending riders for falling in the first place!

Hi Jenn, Jeremy got disqualified because he violated rule F-5, he did not proceed back to the starting line like he should have done, but choose to ride up the up at Central to see if Ryan was Ok. Then what did he do when they tried to stop him? Rule F-9 explains why he was suspended for refusing to obey the black flag. Keep reading your rule book Jenn :)

Paul, Did you see what happened at Central, because I did, The kid parked his bike on the side of the track, way off the track, and went up to see if his friend was ok. Then he took his friends bike down the hill trying to get it off the track and DICK grabbed him and said something that I couldn't hear. In this case there should have been NO SUSPENSION, But DICK being a DICK saw fit to dole out another silly suspension. Stick to what you do best, taking great photos of us racing, and stay out of the politics

It was me that DICK suspended for seeing a downed rider. And when i rode up to see ryan everyone was waving the "yellow Flag" not the black. and DICK said that when I went up to see ryan that I went race speed. which is not true, I went to the mechanic's area to tell ryans dad that it was ryan that was hurt and he went runing up to the up hill triple, and he beat me up there on foot so how was I going race speed if he beat me up there on foot. And in the rule book it says disobaying an offical flag means disqualifcation for that days event not 31 days. WHAT DO YOU THINK JACK>

Hey Digger, Do you realise what your saying about Paul , our great photographer ( Pierre too ) . They are ..like been around for just as long as most of us, and besides , there like one of us,a rider. have they ever handed over an embarrising photo to ya or something. Man think about it for a minute, i know your really pissed just like the rest of us, but, take a minute before you respond. lol...Bob P

Dick " the suspender" only know's the term suspend. If i'm right , "DICK" does not have in his vocabulary, warning, lenient, one lap penalty, don't do it again, he is too eager too enforce, not correct with a minor penalty. i've never seen anyone worry about such trivial thing's like this.

HEY THIS ANSWERS A QUESTION I HAD, WHY IWAS NOT SCORED AT THE CENTRAL VILLAGE RACE WHEN MIKE WAS HURT AND WHEN DAVE PRATT WAS KNOCKED OUT BEFORE THE IN FIELD TRIPLE. I STOP TO SEE WHAT WAS WRONG, AND IF I COULD HELP THE FALLEN RIDERS BEFORE THE MEDICS ARRIVED. BOY I'M A BAD BOY. I GUESS YOU CAN NOT HELP YOUR FELLOW RIDERS OR YOU WILL BE SUSPENDED. ALSO DONT BASH PAUL HE IS A GOOD FRIEND AT THE RACES. SORRY FOR ANY DISRESPECT TOWARDS YOU PAUL FROM A RACER.

I wasn't "bashing" Paul if I were I think everyone would know it. All I'm saying is that we don't need another person, nonrider, WHOEVER telling us to once again read our rulebooks. I think we hear that enough don't you? I saw what happened, I was standing right there, and all I was saying was that the punishment didn't fit the crime. I think anyone who saw what actually happened would agree. I like Paul too. Sorry if I hurt your feelings. xoxoxoxo Digger

Well, all I was trying to do was answer Jenn's question about the rule book and look what happens. Here's what I saw. 125 youth moto, I was shooting photos in the right hand turn after the rocker section when the finish line flagger started waving the black flag. All the riders slowed down and headed back to the gate, Jeremy stopped by the mech area then rode up the hill at a pretty slow speed while all the flaggers waved their yellow flags. What happened up on the hill I can't say, it was out of my sight. And Digger, in the past twenty five years I've never told anyone to read their rule book, until today because it seemed like Jenn was really trying to find something in there.

You know what ? I 'll bet Paul knows better lines on the track then we do, can you imagine how many thousands of times he has looked at the track through that " Kodak " of his snapping away at us for photo's. !!!!!!!!!!!

and keep up the input Paul, I know your stuck between a rock and a hard place on what you really want to say ( your venbdor's rent may drastically inflate, or possible eviction process may happen . lol,lol ) talk to ya later...

I'm sorry Jenn, that is wicked retarded, why would they suspend him for that?!?! in NH last week a kid named Matt Gangnes fell in my class on the 1st lap(125 B class) and he was just laying on the track...i went by and thought to myself taht if he was still down on the 2nd lap i will stop...i know i should have stopped...but i also know that if i did i wouldnt have gotten in trouble...one more reason why NESC...kinda sux now..and is too political....but hey...just another MxKids opinion PeaCe
