Johnny,

One of the reasons I and some of my friends have not come up north to visit is that we can't bring a firearm with us. Also, there are no provisions at the border to check and safekeep it so we can enter the country sans it. A fair number of us out West like to carry some "insurance" when they travel. It's our heritage. I guess we'll just have to fly if we decide to come up and say hello.

Flash - you are correct that Canada doesn't let people in who are packing heat! Just one of our quirks...... If you ever do make it up here you can be assured of a warm Canadian welcome.

3) St John's, Newfoundland (Marconi sent/received the first transatlantic radio message from Signal Hill)

Johnny,

Sounds like fun. If the Las Vegas bash is a success, maybe we can have the "real millenium" one in your neighborhood. Care to suggest some interesting possible locales?
