Marigot Bay

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Nature Photography Image Critique : One Thread

Marigot Bay, St. Lucia, is the most beautiful bay in Caribbean, probably one of the most beautiful bays in the world. I was stuuned by the view. Unfortunately, the film I used was negative, but not slide. So, color and saturation may be not as good as slide, but it still looks pretty nice. Nikon N-70 on tripod, Nikkor 35-70/2.8 zoom, Kodak Royal Gold 100 print film. http://128.111.124.11/ssr/marigot1.jpg

Ronald,

You may want to double check the rules< /a> of this forum. It seems you've managed to break everyone of them this week. This is not a nature image by the definition required on this forum--not my rule but I try to follow it because it's not my forum. Also one posting a week, image size under 50K, and you should use the IMG tag to post the image so we can see it with out having to cut and paste.

Now wait seven days, read the rules and show us some more of your work because it looks prety good.

I'll spend the next seven days working on my HTML!

Mark: Sorry for the voiolation of the posting rules. Actually I did not check the rules before I posted it. Secondary, I misunderstood the 'One image every week' rule. I thought everyone is allowed to post image once a week on any weekday, but only one image per week. Thirdly, Christian kindly answered my question I posted last week. He suggested me to post a NATURE photograph next week to see how I am doing. So, I pick a landscape to post. However, it did not meet the criteria you defined for NATURE photography. I am so sorry. Your comment 'You have managed to break everyone of them' does not sound a very logic conclusion to me. It is a kind of TOUGH to a new commer. Involvement and joy of photography is most important things for any news group including Nature Photography.Polite advices or reminders are always welcome. Thank you again. Ronald

I think an unofficial rule to add to the list should be that "every dog gets a bite" - i.e. everyone gets one brief, polite reference to the rules, then they have to break the rules again before anyone can bite their head off. Personally I've given up biting off heads; bad for the digestion. :)

Ronald, one suggestion (besides complying with the image rules): there should be a section in the rules on how to post HTML images and/or links. If there isn't, go to one of the recent posts that has an image in it and hit "view source" or "view HTML", whatever your browser lets you do; that will clue you in to the proper HTML tags for posting links and images. If you can't get the information either way, email me privately and I'll give you a hand.
