im in the oil bussiness: where was our help when oil was $ 9.00

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TB2K spinoff uncensored : One Thread

We tried everything to get releif from washington while our families were hungry and also tried to explain to the U.S.A. these times would hit if we did not implement some programs to keep the drilling going on. WHERE WERE YOU THEN when i lost my house and bussiness. What comes around goes around. I wish it would cost $ 5.00 a gallon. Just maybe people will listen next time. Refineries are having problems along with nucular plants being shut down. Natural gas is the answer. And yes the middle east can not keep up right now. All the rig hands have left. we could put another 40% rigs up but no hands. All i can say is enjoy these good times now. you people up north buy coats for the winter.

dusty,

"All the rig hands have left. we could put another 40% rigs up but no hands."

This is one untold story about this crisis. I've been in the oil industry the last 18 years (production), there has been downsizing after downsizing. I know a lot of these guys and most are doing something else.

No, No, No !!!!!! Charles P. Ruben Want's you to buy Puts !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cpr is always right, he is the god of the Commodity Markets and he was RIGHT about the outcome of Y2k... believe in him, oil prices are going to go down.

Yep, Gasoline prices are going to go down, someday soon. Folks, supply yourselves with beans and rice, you will survive, though it won't be pretty or easy. But you will survive.

My Story -- your solution to high gas prices is to "supply yourself with beans . . ."

Does this mean you've perfected the methane driven automobile? If so, let me know when they'll be on the market. I know a couple of people that, after a good plate of beans, could drive such a vehicle cross country for free.

EH, Check out the newest tech.......you can run your rig on Methane, but I wouldn't expect you to know that.

I've never understood the federal programs for farmer's crop price supports, tax breaks, etc., and nothing much for any other business. I'm not in favor of oil price supports either and would like to see $5 a gallon for gas, so we develope other alternative energy sources.

I'm sad that you lost your home. :(

Seeing the Middle East and Russia use their oil, up and we not use ours is a good thing for our country long term. It's just painful for oil producers and our economy.
