Please please please -- read the newspapers, watch the national news, look at Stratfor.com. There are major conflicts building all over the world. Look at China/Taiwan, Palestinian/Israeli, Russia/EU ... Look at which world leaders are visiting with which other world leaders. KI is a good idea to have on hand...even if nuclear war is avoided you might still live near a nuclear facility threatened by fire.

Are the only people allowed to post on this forum those that agree with your point of view. If you don't want to read it that is your affair. Some of the posters on this forum seem determined to drive different points of view away. This is a FREE country and everyone should have the right to talk about their concerns even if you and I don't agree with them.

Back off a bit. Get this forum back to sharing information and ideas between posters. It used to carry lots of thoughtfully shared information but it is turning into ghetto full of thugs.

cpr - everything you said is absolutely true. It's certainly not "knowledge and information" to take generalities and scare folks with them. We have 1.4% unemployment in our county. At that, even the software folks can't find employee's; let alone McDonalds. And we are talking about a town of 80k.

Frank "Chiming", perhaps you have not noticed the rising costs in your grocer, or perhaps it did not put a dent in your wallet. The price of meat has taken a surge (do cows use gasoline?). Combine those necessary costs with necessary gas, and Mr. average,who has not received a wage increase (or it was insufficient), how DO they maintain? They have to give up something. And if their economic life style was sub-standard to begin with, they are thrust even further into an abyss, (don't EVEN try to say they had a choice, some do, some don't). Where I occupy space, the roadside "for sale" vehicles mount each day. I am amazed by the numbers as I have watched their numbers grow from two years ago. I am comforted by the knowledge that I saw kinda the same thing happen in the late 60's, more repossessed homes than there were buyers. It is not the end of the World, but you can be sure, someone is suffering. Might I again suggest you make any kind of monthly monetary contributionto your local food kitchen, Salvation Army, etc.
