OTFR, I have decided to not pursue your IP-sharing lapse

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TB2K spinoff uncensored : One Thread

I fear if I pursued this invasion of privacy and demonstrated one-sided-ness in the moderation of this forum with MIT personnel, it may result in this forum being shut down. This is something I definitely do not wish.

Plus, I sense that you have perhaps assuaged your doomer friends by invading some polly's privacy and demonstrating your bias towards them by editting Liane's email address when falsified, but not mine; and perhaps you will cease the unfairness in moderating - we shall see.

Vindicated Regards,
Andy Ray

Was there an IP-sharing lapse? We don't know that yet.

There was an IP-sharing lapse.

So, you've finally come around to appreciate our little fascist enclave here. Of course, there is no doubt in your mind that this is a nest of fascists - you said as much.

Well, OK. Maybe not the word "nest". Or the word "enclave", either. Those are my words, not yours. But you were pretty darned clear about the "fascist" part. So, I took just a tiny bit of liberty with your words by saying "nest" of fascists. So, sue me! (ha! ha! - just kidding!)

So, I guess you have finally discovered that fascism is much more valuable to you than you first thought and your life would be poorer without a dose of fascism from time to time. This is a remarkable change of heart. Just truly remarkable.

Does this mean we can count on you for a donation? A donation of US$20 or more entitles you to wear a tasteful lapel pin with the fascist insignia on it. You'll be the envy of your friends.

Brian,

I hate to dicker with you when you're on such a roll {Kaiser?},

but I thought it was more like a lair/den type of a deal.

Definitely not a clutch or clatch, however.

Howzabout an exaltation, as in 'of larks'?

Brian,

On the lapel pin, what are your ideas for a design? Personally, I'd favor a jackboot crushing the Liberty Bell or a library.

Plus, I sense that you have perhaps assuaged your doomer friends by invading some polly's privacy and demonstrating your bias towards them by editting Liane's email address when falsified, but not mine;

Once again, you conveniently forgot about this thread in which Ed Yourdon's email address was falsified and no attempt was made to fix it or even officially indicate that it was falsified. Oh, but that's right. You just decided to twist the evidence to fit your memetic theory, thus the post must be from the genuine article. This, of course, conveniently ignores the fact that Ed, in a complete lapse of character, supposedly called his fellow doomers "pathetic jackasses" and yet failed to post a message of this nature to EZ-Board where they actually still reside.

It is wise that you chose not to pursue your fruitless vendetta regarding IP sharing seeing as you had no evidence in the first place. I look forward to your continuing Quotably Quoted series. It has proven much more productive than these other endeavors.

It doesn't seem to me that anyone has been moderating this place for quite some time now. I'm not here as often as others, but I haven't seen any signs of OTFR for at least a week.

OTFR, the Queen Bee of the Fascist Hive, has probably been hiding. Clearly she must have been terrified by AR's threats of legal action! Philip Greenspun has probably been cowering in a broom closet at MIT, too. Cowards! LOL LOL LOL

lol....I'd bet Chris didn't think things would get to this point... it's amaseing how simple things can get really complicated, once you decide to put horns on your "old man", and repudate your stated position.

Netty,

If you are going to take pot shots at people's private lives at least learn how to spell. What a loser!

What's up with the IP thing, Andy? You've been at Poole's place, where your IP address is posted! I just don't get it...
