SOME STILL SHAKING Y2K BUG FEARS

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Grassroots Information Coordination Center (GICC) : One Thread

Both Druid and FI, along with others in the
sector, experienced a downturn in business
in late 1999 and early 2000 as clients held
back from information technology work due to
concerns about potential Y2K millennium
conversion problems.

``Most people froze their systems. We thought
that they would go on doing developments in
parallel,'' Cropper said. ``What a lot of them
actually seemed to do, and I think it
surprised everybody in the industry, was
close down developments for a fair length of
time.''
