A mom's opinion

Okay, I hear a lot of sh** is going down. My son races in the 80A, 105 (at Middleboro only) and the 125 B classes. Very unfortunite we have to pull away from NESC because there are not enough riders in the 80A class to allow us to get contingency. Face it money is always a factor. We don't need it but it always helps. I would in a second get on a board or be some kind of help to the track and riders if I felt I could make a difference. I think I could. When do the riders ever get a chance to speek their minds? I love going racing every weekend, even though my stomach sits in my throat half the time. It should be a organization that lets the riders decide who should be on the board and what tracks should be allowed to be raced. We've had several tracks that wanted to join NESC but because they wouldn't shut out other events NESC wouldn't go for it. Is that fair? I don't know about all you other riders but the same tracks are getting pretty boring. We have a free riding pass and gate fee for Middleboro and we have only used it once. My kid doesn't want to ride there. What happened to all the great riders that came out of NESC? They have moved on and chances are there won't be any more to follow in their footsteps. We as riders and parents need to step up to the plate and get this orginiation under control before it no longer exists.

Control of the organization is a must.In any business you can't make everyone happy.....but you can compromise and look out for the safety of the company as you do the customer. (Imagine NASCAR having flaggers like we do at the races.)We have inexperienced youth waving a flagg at the bugs, trying to stay cool, talking to their buddies on the side lines or just sitting there having a picnic. Mean while you have many human beings on dirtbikes all trying for the Win not knowing what lies ahead. We as racers expect the flaggers to be looking out for our safety.. Why is their no instructional class prior to the race for them. Are they just not paid enough for safety ?
