Help! I have an oral report due tomorrow on Gabriel Garcia Marquez. He wrote a story about an old angel that falls down to earth, I think it's called 'An Old Man With Very Large Wings'. Is the losing my religion video based on this story? It would be a great adddition to my presentaion. Please Help!

Obviously, the song has nothing to do with the story, but the video does use elements from the story. Although this may not be intentional, I go with it the presentation. Chances are your Prof. doesn't know R.E.M. from delta phase.

The answer is YES, Michael Stipe read that story and he liked it so much that he decided to include parts of it in the video.
