Where does Gov. Locke stand on these two initiatives?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : I-695 Thirty Dollar License Tab Initiative : One Thread

Gov. Locke is up for re-election. What are his views on tax payer approved, future taxes? I know he approves of 30$ tabs, but will he endorse the will of the people. November is coming up. I feel the Repubicans will make a clean sweep of the elections. I hope I hear where he stands soon.

Once again a case where the expressions "fat chance" and "slim chance" mean precisely the same thing; NO CHANCE!

It may be possible for the R's to break the tie in the House, and get control. Defeating Locke and getting control of both houses of the Legislature would be quite a feat without some very bad economic news to blame on the D's. Control of the House by the Republicans would be enough to require both parties to negotiate passage of any significant legislation, and would be good for the state....better than the tie we have had that made any lasting resolution of the major issues raised last year nearly impossible.
