Go eat a bowl of clam chowder. You'll feel better.

Right back at you FS. Safe journey to you.

FS:

An equal question. Why in the hell is Z in DC. Amazing when you think that this goes to my server at home and then to AOL [assuming that it does]. If you read it; it did. The bay is probably better than foggy bottom. Have fun.

FS--

So why are you there? Business or pleasure? Either way it's a pretty good place to be, at least for a few days. Just don't forget a jacket for those nights.

-- Lars (lars@indy.net), June 25, 2000.

Hey, I was wondering why we haven't heard from you lately!

If I was there I'd be down at Fisherman's Warf wolfing down some of that fresh crab and sourdough bread. Then down to Ghiradelli's for dessert. :-)

Have fun.

Thought for the day: We're all gonna die!

FS,

There's a great park there, don't remember the name though. Oh, and some good restaurants too!

There's a great bridge there too. I think it's near an ocean or sump'n.

The Spinnaker in Sausalito.

K-Town near Golden Gate.

Tommys Joint on Van Ness.

Buena Vista at the Square.

Just off Broadway.

Thanks all. I was thinking maybe I was pathetic to be missing everyone, but with Internet cafes, I guess I am not as far away as I think! I am here on business for those who did not know. I have had much free time so far-except yesterday was blown to hell by the "hardworking" folks of the moscone center. For those in the know, the mercury retrograde was in full swing; parts of our booth were missing and myyself and another co-worker were supposedly not registered for the conference.

Brian-funny-you remembered our tete'a'tete from a few months ago! Ra - thanks for the suggestion-I am going to Sausilito today-Spinnaker it is.

Frank-Golden Gate Park-will go there later this afternoon-was planned. All is well overall-Being a New Yorker, I find the food service slow-but excellant food choices and an overall cool vibe. I went to a concert to benefit medical marijuana. Really cool-Harvey Mandel, psychedelic blues player extraordinaire, stole the night. The headliner was an all star band consisting of members of The New Riders of the Purple Sage, Grateful dead, and a local favorite Zero. Danced half the night away-sore today!

Anyway, see you all at Boks when I get back.

Hi FS...I missed you, but it sounds like you're having a good time. One more thing: You've gotta see Carmel!

And don't forget to refer to spaghetti as "pasta" there.

Talk to ya soon...:)

Isn't that where they make Rice-A-Roni?

If you're looking for some butt-bumping action, you're in the right place. Frisco has a higher percentage of bad-boy booty-bouncers than any major city in the world.

FS,

Yeah, Golden Gate. Amazing I'd forget that name, but there it is, and it's a great park.

"And keep your...

Especially the ones in the back of your head!

2 more days(Have I become a travelouge writer?). Rented a car the first part of yesterday and drove over the Golden Gate to Sausilito and then over to Muir Woods. I had never seen Redwoods before- AWESOME. I cannot believe folks cut these down in other places-These suckers have been around since the middle ages, and one tree has been around since Christ walked the earth(supposedly). The trip down to the woods atop the mountain, while not the San Juan Highway in Colorado, was breathtaking.

One thing-The homeless situation here is absolutely epidemic-every single corner has someone begging for money-What the hell is this city doing about it? WHere did all these stories come from?

On Saturday night I did see something I wiull remeber for the rest of my life. I was walking around and came across a group of about 30 homeless-one guy was playing a guitar and another had a karaoke machine-they were singing the Motown hit "My Girl" and these homeless were singing and dancing-two of them were doing Four tops moves on the sidewalk-onw women was sitting in a shopping cart! It was hilarious-and they were all having a good time. And I used to say "only in New York"-hah.

See ya tomorrow.

Just for you, FS -- be careful out there. (thanks for the suggestion, hmm)

(from David Letterman) Signs You Eat Too Much Rice-A-Roni

You can't cross the Golden Gate Bridge without consulting a team of architects

You drink a cup of boiling water and expand to three times your normal size

You show up at work naked, except for a strategically placed seasoning pack

You get a little visit from a couple of Uncle Ben's goons

You just spent $1.7 million for a box of rice-a-roni that belonged to Jackie Onassis

Every Wednesday night you have a small group meeting that begins with someone saying "My name is Bob and I eat too much Rice-A-Roni"

When you go swimming in the bay, tourists mistake you for Alcatraz"

When you ask hookers for a "San Francisco Treat," you really do mean dinner
