Lens Out of focus

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Pentax 67 SLR : One Thread

I use a 67 for aerial works with Pentax 105mm lens and all my photos always have been out of focus in the dow border and in the right border of the photo. I don't think so that is problem of the lab. What could be happen??????

Possibly you could have the film plate set to the wrong setting?? Is it on 220 when shooting 120 or vice versa? SR

My friend who is a proffecional photographer oce called me and asked me to lend him my 105mm lens as his photos were always blured in one corner and he wanted to find out if his body or his lens was to blame. He later found out that the prolem was not in his Pentax, he always took his photos out of the same open window of his plane ( cessna I think it was ), the hot air from the engine exhaust was to blame as he was taking his photos through it.

I don't know what you mean by "dow border". I did have a problem with my P67 giving softness on the whole left side of a transparency. This was caused by the pressure plate not being seated properly on its pin mount. It had actually moved slightly sideways in one direction. Once the pressure plate was moved the problem went away.
