J.B. Crash in CT.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : New England Motocross Racing : One Thread

I talked to J.B.'s brother today and asked him how J.B. was doing. He said he broke his femur in one leg and his fibula tibia in both legs. One of the broken bones hit an artery. They repaired the artery yesterday in a long surgery and he is going back into surgery today. I will keep you updated when more information is provided. I wish him well along with Ryan, and the 125 Novice rider that was hurt on the same step up.

TELL JB'S BROTHER I WISH HIM A SPEEDY RECOVERY ALSO. THAT JUMP OBVIOUSLY NEEDS TO BE CHANGED.I LOVE THE JUMP BUT THINGS CAN HAPPEN THAT ARE NOT IN YOUR CONTROL AND THE INJURYS BACK THIS STATEMENT UP.

YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT PAT THAT JUMP NEEDS TO BE CHANGE BUT DONT FLATTEN THE REST OF THE TRACK LIKE SOUTHWIK AND MIDDLEBORO REMEMBER WE R RACING MOTOR CYCLES THIER IS ALWAYS THE DANGER OF GETTING HURT! BUT SOMETHINGS NEED TO BE CHANGED THAT CAUSE MULTIPLE INJURYS.

I agree.. I love that jump and do it some times (last year).. But yesterday was a good example of why it needs to be changed.. How many people need to get seriously hurt before they fix it.. Pat, you lapped me there in the 30+ class on the last lap yesterday.. I heard you coming and made damn sure to stay out of your way.. I knew I was a little tired and didn't want to do anything wrong to get in your way.. By the way, that's a huge accomplishment for me, not getting lapped until the last lap at Central. Also, I agree with Jack.. They cant go making it a totally flat track.. That jump seems to have a lot of injurys on it... See ya at the races..

I agree with you guys !! That tripple stepup jump should be changed , way too many serious injuries on that one jump !!But I would also like to give the CV guys an A+ for their effort every race . It is obvious that racers build that track and groom it as needed during the day !!!!!!!(other tracks should take note)My best wishes to JB , Ryan Wood and anyone else hurt sunday!!!!On a lighter note , I would like to tell you about a embarrasing thing that happend to me yesterday . Now i am no Seth Enslo by any means , but I'd like to think I can jump anything anybody else in my class does . That tripple by the pump house (right before finnish line) I asked my buddy what gear he hit that in . he told me 3rd on his 250 . I din't do it in practice ,so on the 1st lap of my race i came up to clicked 3rd and wham my face hit the cross bar tweeked my goggles halfway around my head , I din't crash but it was ugly (did i forget to mention im just trying to double )Now i'm on a 125 and he obviuosly din't know what gear he was in so 2nd lap i come around this time stay in 2nd pin it and wham same thing (must have been going same speed)hit my face on crossbar pad tweek goggles very ugly but din't crash . Well i come around on 3rd lap 2nd gear but a lot less gas but just before i hit the jump i catch a glance of the flagger standing there and he's shaking his head to say don't do it man your going to kill your self !!! but i clicked the down side perfect !! I hope he was the only to see those 1st 2 trys cause i did look like Seth (a idiot) Iam recovering nicely today from my wiplash !!!!!
