BE LIKE CENTRAL

greenspun.com : LUSENET : New England Motocross Racing : One Thread

Why can't NESC do more than five races a year at Central Village? C.V. is by far the most fun track to ride at, and they are always modifying the track to keep it challenging for all skill levels. Half the obstactles there scare the shit out of me, but thata what keeps me coming back. I am in the middle of a business trip in New Jersey, but I drove 250 miles back home just to race. People told me that I was crazy, but if there are only five chances to race at C.V. each year, I'll be damned if I'm going to miss one of those opportunities. Middleboro should take a hint, and build some challenging obstacles. I never would have come home this past weekend if the race was at Middleboro.

In response to Matt L.. Triples are only life- risking if you try and clear them. I'm a novice rider with occasional top ten finishes, and I was rolling over the new triple because I'm not crazy. However I still like to attempt some of the other jumps, like the plateau step-up (formerly central-air triple), and the finish line table-top. Also jumps like the uphill triple allow you to test your skill gradually, by first doubling. Now that I am comfortable doubling that jump, in the near future I may attempt the triple. If your not looking to better your jumping skills, pick-up an XR 100 and go trail riding.

I defenitly hear ya; i jump....but i dont like always having to jump, ya know, its nice to have a track to race on everyonce in a while where you are not ALWAYS pushing the limits(in the air i mean) ya know? i totally agree that you need to puch limits, but sometimes, its cool just to be able to chill!

Be like Treadwell, and kick it sideways over the central air triple!!!

In response to Matt as well, I agree that every track doesn't have to have 70' tripples or massive step-ups and so on, but throughout my racing career I have seen many tracks across the country and they are absolutely awesome and to have to come and race a track like middleboro week after week is aweful. Once you have seen ( or anyone for that matter) the track layouts across the country you become ashamed of the ones we have here. and if you call driving a loader with the bucket flat the whole way around the track hard work than well....

Central Village is by far the best track that NESC races at. They always keep you guessing, when you pull in there on sunday morning you don't know whats going to be different about the track. The fact that they have been changing it around lately is awesome and keeps me coming. I live in NJ and travel up every sunday to race because District 6 (the series down here) sucks and its tracks like CV that make NESC fun. I think if other tracks changed up some obstacles every week everybody would like it that much more.

MATT I ONLY ATTACK PEOPLE THAT DESERVE IT, AS FAR AS MIKE TREADWELL HE JUMPS LIKE AN 80 NOVICE ASK HIM ABOUT THE TIME WE WERE AT BRIAN SWINKS HOUSE AND HE COULDNT DO A CANDYBAR FOR A $ 1000.00 !

You know what, I found myself actually having fun yesterday... I actually enjoyed practice, maybe because I got more than 2 laps... That was the most fun I have had on a track in along time.. The other tracks should really look towards them for advice.. They do just about everything right.. Without being sarcastic, does anyone know why the other tracks dont make an effort to be creative? Most of the other jumps in the NESC are boring, you actually have to slam the brakes on before hitting them... Anyways, I had a blast yesterday and cant wait until the next CV race.. See ya..

cv is definetly the best nesc race i wish we could race it more times i am like you i will not miss a cv race but all the other tracks i could care less if i miss i like how they switch it all the time but the downfall to that is all the faces rut up alot quicker but cv is the only place that cares enough to fix a section when something is bad and when there is a ambulance wait when was the last time you saw southwick fix their start straight away? (oh yeah they did it for the pros the people that really need it) and middleboro way to easy they could add alot to that track to make it better and be all sick triples and stuf... well see ya at the races (even if it is the next cv)
