Hi Renee, I don't get on often, mostly when I'm in some kind of trouble, but I get the weekly emailed, so I keep up. Anyway I wanted to share an answer I received a few months ago on this same question. First get a hater on the calf clip a rope or lead to the side & start to teach her to walk on the lead. Our calf was resistant to it so we ran the rope down her back & under her tail (so it's around her hind legs)then back up to her head again. When she refused to walk we could pull on the rope putting pressure on her hind legs. she would take a few steps & we'd have to do it again. It took about 2 days but she got the hang of it. Once we had her trained to lead we just started tieing her out. The first few days she was nervous so we kept a close eye on her. She's 6 months old now & all we do is grap her halter & she leads easier than the dogs..we just take her to wherever we want her to graze & tie her up. Hope this helps.
