CHICAGO BRACES FOR MASS RIOTING- OUT OF GAS - POWER GRID TO FAIL

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TB2K spinoff uncensored : One Thread

I have inside info the the chicago pd along with the national gaurd will mobilize this weekend. this will be done to quell expected rioting because the city will run out of gas at the pumps. Next is an expected blackout when the temps rise, this wont be as easy to fix as last year.I also heard (stress this is a rumor) that several building are being transferred to state authourity for detention camps. I know personally that our school is being readied for emergency shelter.another rumor is that the feds are involved. I wonder if whats going on here has anything to do with whats going on in kentucky?

The first time is funny; the second time's a spanking.

Wait a sec... the first time wasn't funny. Links and hard info talk, bullsh*t walks.

I wonder if the person who started that thread is the same one who started this thread.

no, i didnt start the other thread. If you assholes paid 2.25 to 2.45 a gallon like we are in the midwest. rumours would be spreading too.I admit i havent seen riot, troops or any closed gas stations, but am pretty sure gas prices will rise another dime this weekend-BEST CASE

Can't say.

I'm in the Midwest. $1.59. You are talking about a small part of the Midwest.

Best wishes,,,,

Well, he said she said 'cant say'. I have to say here in Ohio gas is 1.89 for reg. unleaded, still 2.11 for the good stuff.

HOWEVER, usually gas goes down after the weekend, guess what? IT DID NOT!!!!!!!!

As a matter of fact, our local news is reporting gas here will be above the 2.00 mark this weekend.

I belive we arent going to see any relief for ALONG time. I had asked before if 'any' had felt the 'pinch' and not many responded to the thread....ok, now do WE feel it?

IMHO it will get worse before it gets anytime better.

Dont wanna hear the BS about the OPEC folks etc, releasing, I dont believe they WANT to give us the shit.

Pessimist? Why not? Somebody should come out and say it, so there, I did. Man makes me feel better already.

Truth is we should all be concened, this does, after all, affect pretty much everything.

Go out to eat, ask the servers how business has been lately.

I can tell you in our insurance office it has been slow. No new home sales/ car additions to policies are almost nil.

Sign of the times? Yep. Stretch the dollar = quit eating out and cut back on insurance.

Folks in Chicago now know how Californians have felt for years. We've been forced to use a special less-polluting blend, which has meant that many places in CA have had higher gas prices than most of the US (less supply = higher prices). Isn't it great when they help us like that?

But hey, haven't you read the papers? The recent government statistics stated that gas prices dropped in May and that inflation remains under control. This helps the stock market feel a bit better about the lowered likelihood of rate hikes by the Fed.

What? You say you haven't seen these lower gas prices? Gosh, you don't think the Bureau of Labor Statistics might be massaging the data a bit, do you? Naaaaah, they'd never do that...
