Premiere "stills" won't play in EZ CD Video CD

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I created a movie in Premiere 5.1c with still images (5 sec. duration), transitions, motion video clips and audio. Everything plays fine on my DVD player except the still portion of the movie. Is there something I should check?

I can't find anything on Adaptec's site or any other site about special handling of "still" portions of MPEG movies.

Check that you did not "optimise" the stills in Premiere, you must make sure each still is actually rendered off the time line to be a part of the mpeg stream.

I did check and the stills are NOT optimized (box not checked) The Video plays fine on the timeline and on VHS. But the "still" portions of the video won't play on the Video CD.

OK, if your using bbMPEG it does not handle stills directly from the timeline, they only show if rendered at a transition, otherwise they are grey. There is no fix for this other than change the encoder.
