So much for Bill Richardson as a potential Gore running mate. He made the mistake of believing his subordinates when they said everything was fine, just fine, and all the security problems at the Labs were fixed, yessiree...

I worked in a not-quite-black gov't facility once and vividly remember being escorted by armed guards in certain areas (and we weren't working on anything nearly as vital as nuke tech.) Sounds like things have gotten a lot sloppier in the past 10 years...
