Handlebars...

greenspun.com : LUSENET : New England Motocross Racing : One Thread

I just broke my stock handlebars and was looking at renthal bars. What is the difference between the racer bend and the standard bend? I do not race right now, I only ride for fun. Does anyone have a suggestion on what I should get? Thanks, J

Renthal bars are definently stonger than stock, so good choice there. As far as bend goes...go with the bars that are most comfortable to you. Whether you ride for fun or race is irrelevant! It's kinda hard to know exactly what the feel like off the bike but holding them out in front of you should give you a good idea. For myself, I stay away from bars that sweep back. I like a straight bend like the McGrath/Henry bends... Goog luck!

I also like a straight bend. I use the carmichael bend and i think they are the straighest. The straighter bend helped me keep my elbows up and more weight on my front wheel and now i wash out much less! They made a huge difference for me anyway! LPus they dont bend as easy as the stock steel bars.

instead of paying $80 for renthals get some oneal pro locks they are just as strong and cost about $20 less. You can get them in any bend you want. If you want them fairly strait go with a YZ bend.
