How can i convert a quick time movie to a vcd compliant file. I have panasonic, xing, lsx and videowave 3. I also have Premiere 5.0 but being new to this i find this program a tad confusing at the moment.

Thanks in advance.........Tom

Hi Tom,

There are 2 choices: 1. Export your quicktime movie (MOV) to AVI using QuickTime Player 4 (registered). Then encode the AVI with Panasonic stand-alone to get MPEG1. 2. Insert your quicktime movie (MOV) to Adobe Premiere then export it to MPEG1 using Panasonic plug-in for Adobe Premiere.

Choise number 2 is preferable cause it saves time.

Does it also work with the QuickTime extension "Mpeg exporter"?

Get Heuris's Power Professional MPEG ($500) to convert your Quicktime movie into an "Adaptec acceptable" form. Then "write" the file onto a writable-CD using Adaptec Toast 4. You can get the MPEG Power Professional at www.terran.com. Note that Heuris's $99 MPEG Exporter will NOT let you make a VCD. Only the Power Professional will will make it "Adaptec acceptable".
