Power Out For Thousands Some 26-thousand Narragansett Electric customers were without power for more than an hour yesterday morning in part of Providence, Cranston, and Warwick. The outage started around 9:15 a-m and service was restored by 10:30 a-m. "The Providence Journal" reports workers at an Amtrak facility accidentally disrupted a transmission line. There were no injuries. An Amtrak spokesperson tells the "Journal" there was no disruption in rail service.
