What the hell is that A?? Veeeeery creepy!

Any idea of the scale on those photos?

the glass tube photo is fake. By looking carefully we see a glare that is caused by a small light source that is nearby. If we are to believe that the second picture is a close-up of the first, one would expect to see a drunken red-neck holding a flashlight. We can plainly see that the "glass tubes" (though obviously plastic) are close to a light source that doesn't appear in the first picture. It's not the sun because the glare is to strong for Mar's distance.

I disagree Lejes, it does not appeared altered in any way from the original NASA photo. Damn good enlargement and enhancement job though, without losing any detail.

Hard for me to see whether it is a translucent glass-like material or some kind of highly reflective metal like platinum or gold. Sure doesn't look like anything I've ever seen on Earth before. Makes me wonder if it could be the fossilized remains of a huge sand worm like in the movie "Dune"! :-)

sorry but the glare gives it away as a fake. There is no way that this structure is on mars. As an artist I notice things like that.

Go to the source page and you'll see this image on the left side of the page. The area of the reflection is near the bottom of the image. Click the links underneath the image to see closer views of the area.

I'm an artist too, and I know what you mean about the reflection. The photo with the red text has had the contrast increased, the one on the source page is more accurate. This area was supposedly a sea floor, so I can imagine that some surfaces might have become highly polished by erosion. What has got me wondering is the distinct shape of the tubes and the regularly spaced lines across their surface. Definitely suggestive of some type of life form or something constructed by a life form, not a natural feature.
