Nah, thats a beginner's site.

Here is a professional Doomer's site disguised as a research center but clearly slanted to doom.

As such it is propaganda:

Is anyone familiar with Duncan and the Oldavai Theory? What kind of credibility does he have?

So Anon you think this site (dieoff.org)is nothing but bunk?

Richard Duncan is or was a professor of engineering. The Olduvai Theory or "Transient Pulse Theory" is based on energy consumption per individual.

Dieoff.com is Jay Hanson's personal opinion on the coming oil crisis, supported by vast documentation. He takes a strongly doomer view of the next forty years. Maybe so, maybe no, but right now the evidence supports him. Duncan is highly credible, more so is Campbell and others. See Scientific American, March 1998. Go to hubbert.com or peruse the Hubbert newsletter published by the Colorado School of Mines, which is about as mainstream and as credible as you can get.
