greenspun.com : LUSENET : Grassroots Information Coordination Center (GICC) : One Thread

A friend of mind toll me tonite that some type of bio outbreak is occuring in glendale that involves coin size rashes and fever of 107 -110 for children, with these rashes all over their bodies and mouth and throats, for adults it is limited to one or two rashes usally on legs with their being a high fever, but not as high as it is with children. Doctors are stumped. If you know anything about this type of illness please disclose what you know on the following threads. also from what I am told it is highly contagious. This strange illness has affected my friend's nephew and his friends and the parents of the kids.

I believe the "Ca" might mean California. And, a gentle reminder, Martin--which country? Several countries probably have "Glendale" in them. :)

There's been no reports of any disease outbreak in Glendale, Calif. either on local news TV broadcoasts or the L.A. Times.

Mike has a history in the community, unless this one is an imposter. Let us wait for y2k mike to log on again, hard for him to do in a crisis, give the benefit of doubt. If, When he logs on again, and asks for same. let no search engine go unturned. Got a young friend who will physically die from "Lyme" disease within the next few days. "Lyme Disease", from a mosquito. I have lived in the South my entire life, from whence did this "Lyme" problem start? It wasn't "fricking" here for years. Don't tell me something migrated from another place on it's own, animals and insects. Those creatures are originally programmed, simplistic, to remain in their neighborhood. They do not naturally cartwheel to another nation, to wreck havoc. Enough said. Think on it, do your own research.

My Dear My Animals,

Lyme deseae from mosquitos? It is supposedly only carried by Deer Ticks! Deaar Heaven! I pray that this desease has not transfered to insects.

Incidently, Lyme desease first appeared ( I believe in the 80s') in the Four Corners area of New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Colordo. And it is quite deadly.

No word back from my friend yet as to what the strange illness is in her nephew and his friends. Ill keep you posted as soon as I find out any more info. This Illness is very contageous and I thought it was important to get the word out. People in Glendale California need to be on the alert If you or your children develop rashes the size of a silver dollar or start coming down with a very high fever get them checked out at once.

Shakey, I need your expertise. I disbelieve the fractions of the history I am told about this girl's physical demise. She was not a 'go into da woods" person. She was an average 26 year old, named Tracy. Her first symptoms were giantic headaches, then followed by dementia and Ravings in the E.R. Where they refused to commit her (if it had been me, they would have committed my butt for observation), One bodily function, after another, began to shut down. stroke after another, until brain capacity reduced to a 1 year old. What da Hell happened here? I ain't no Brain Surgeon, can anyone, with knowledge, explain it. BTW, This post is for Tracy, she still breathes, Amen....
