Record Power Used A muggy month of May has led to record power consumption among the Lower Colorado River Authority's 44-wholesale customers. The L-C-R-A's electric system reached a peak output of two thousand-290-megawatts on May 24th, topping last year's peak mark by almost four-thousand megawatts. The L-C-R-A says the increased usage can be blamed on the rising population in central Texas and warmer than usual weather so far this year.
