"....you must sell all that you have, give to the poor and come follow Me."

Do it Brother.

Start with your computer. Sell it and give the proceeds to the Poor.

You will see then how this is in His Plan of Salvation for you before someone here discusses whether or not you should be STONED OR WHETHER OR NOT YOU ARE "STONED".

The looseLuke 18:22 translation you quote, NOT KJV BTW, was directed towards ->A<- man NOT ALLmen.

Here is the REAL KJV passage: Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

Satan and his followers often twist and misuse bible verses in an attempt to trip believers up.

Jesus states in Matthew 12:30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. Since you misuse bible verses against those doing Gods work, that would place you against God.

Jesus also states in John 8:44-45 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. 45Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me!

Al-d repeats God's truths. Truths not easily taken by those that have choosen to take a path away from God in life.

"I believe in Him"

Stupid me, I don't see the difference in the two Luke references. Please enlighten me. And have we yet answered the question about "works"? Jesus seems to be saying here that Works are important. But elsewhere (Mathew?) he seems to say that it is belief in Him and not Works that are what matters.

There are so many annointed people here ranging from Andy Ray and cpr (HIMSELF) to Al-d and yourself.

This reference is aimed specificly towards the man Jesus was speaking to at the time. Not all men of all time.

I don't pretend to have all the answers. But I know the one who does. Jesus Christ. He is the only one that was/is perfect. Al-d, me and others are far from perfect. We just happen to be the ones that are forgiven and saved by Jesus's love as a gift to us. FREE for the asking, not because we were worthy. If our salvation were based on who is worthy, besides God, Jesus & the Angels heaven would be a vacancy.
