The Mists of Avolon by Marion Zimmer Bradley-though I doubt a movie could do the book justice. It's my favorite King Auther version, because it really delves into the minds of the female characters- Morgan and Gueniviere. She also writes a couple of prequel books about Avalon that could be a limited t.v. series. Hey Al- I don't have cable but I'll check to see if my in-laws get BBC-America. Their my closest cable connection.

I appreciate it, but I've already got GORMENGHAST covered, thanks! --Al

PS. I'd LOVE to see them do Theodore Sturgeon's MORE THAN HUMAN as a mini-series or movie.

Hey AJ--check out www.imdb.com. Somebody's filming a Mists of Avalon mini-series. I'm looking forward to that, and the Dragonriders series as well.

I'd love to see movies made for Telempath, Emergence, Stranger in a Strange Land, and Ringworld. I'd also like to see the dailies from the first version of Dune (they went broke halfway through filming, then went on to make Alien...).

I'd like to see a movie - or a series - based on the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever, by Stephen Donaldson. The books lend themselves well to a conversion because they are inherently fractal: There is a lot of stuff there that can be omitted and still retain the plot and much of the flavor, but it is also possible to expand on some details because the world is logical and coherent. I'm not absolutely sure no such movie exists, but I think I would have heard it.

I'm pretty sure there hasn't been any adaptions of the Thomas Covenent books, Magnus---more's the pity.---Al

They are doing a Mists of Avalon miniseries? I have to see that. Absolutely have to.
I'd love to see a movie/TV series of the first five books in the Chronicles of Amber series, by Roger Zelazny. The ones dealing with Corwin. It would be interesting, (if anyone out there even knows what I am talking about) to see how well they could do the hellrides, the Pattern, and the Courts of Chaos with digital imaging.
Animate.

I would love to see "The Hobbit" done and NOT as another cartoon.

I agree with Thomas Covenant idea. I'd also like a Chronicles of Chrestomanci. I read Stephen R.Donaldson may be doing a 3rd Chronicles of Thomas Covenant.
