The Kiplinger virus where's the debunk???

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TB2K spinoff uncensored : One Thread

A neighbor just got the e-mail and she is terrified. She is going door to door telling all the neighborhood to beware, I'm glad she never found out about y2k.

Anyway I told her it was a hoax and she seemed almost disappointed. When I left to go to the bank she was still showing her printed e-,ail to more neighbors and one came over to tell me to beware

PLEASE I NEED HELP BEFORE MY WHOLE NEIGHBORHOOD TRIES TO SAVE ME!

Where is the debunk I saw it a few weeks ago and forgot about it.

Thanks,

You can find a list of Virus hoaxes on Symantec's site here, but I didn't find any information about a Kiplinger virus. Do you have a copy of the email she got? It might be listed under a different name.

I may be wrong about the title but the pretense is that someone is mailing packages to people that contain a blue sponge and the sponge is contaminated with a nasty virus that infect the person opening the package. I must admit its captivating and even today I examined my mail! Ha Ha. Thanks for your help.
