The flies are realy bad this year and I,m looking for a way to provide relief for my dogs. The vinegar bags sound good but my dogs roam freely and I need a method that can go with them. Thanks for your help

I'm experimenting with spraying vinegar on my cows to control flies. It seems to give them relief. They haven't had near as many flies on them. Could be worth a try on your dogs. Gayle

Gayle: I had wondered about spraying or wiping the vinegar on our horses. Have tried putting it in their drinking water, which is supposed to help repel flies on them, and you have to work them into it gradually, or they won't drink enough water and can colic. Perhaps putting it in the dogs water would give them some relief, also? Jan

I mix vinegar and crushed garlic cloves in a bottle to wipe on the horses... keeps face flies off them. You could try it.
