Never Again. We will never forget. Never Again.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TB2K spinoff uncensored : One Thread

The Jews have a slogan for it and it is not "get over it".

"NEVER AGAIN".

What this is really all about (from the TB Deleted forum): Two threads that should let all get a clear picture of the insanity of Pre-CDC and the lack of responsibility of many like Yourdon and Paula Gordon even now.

In a normal town meeting or even net forum, responsible people would have chased the posters of such irrational drivel off their perches and / or reminded them years later of all their former "statements". Instead, the fellow travellers of the irresponsible like Sysman, Carlos and Big Jerk post "forget what was said before. Get over it. Move on."

The Jews have a slogan for it: "NEVER AGAIN".

Stupid statements of the doomidiots (plant here for all to see) greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) Deleted Thread : One Thread --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This thread will be dedicated to just plain STUPID statements made by the doom crowd. Here is one from the "hawk" of StinkAss2000 fame:

I can't wait for Y2K to start screwing things up. I'm going to do a lot of laughing next year. If the pollys are rude enough to laugh and ridicule those who calmly and faithfully follow their instincts, then I am sure as hell rude enough to laugh my ass of when they start tripping out. This is gonna be fun! -- Hawk (flyin@high.again), November 14, 1999.

"The good news? You (and all the other pollyannas who have your head stuck in the sand) will stop consuming valuable resources, like air." - Steve Heller -- THE Exposer (shining@light.onfrauds), December 27, 1999.

"Now, just add the element of all the embedded chips that will fail ON TOP of this on or about Jan 1, 2000, and you get a triple whammy. Of course, it's ALL interconnected and interdependent (those are the words that pollies just LOVE to hear, you know), and as per Infomagic.... Got web glue? -- King of Spain (madrid@aol.cum), November 24, 1999." -- The Exposer (exposing@the.meme.but.he.ungot.it.later), January 11, 2000.

I think it's going to be both.

1) One area where I agree with Gartner, the embedded problem will hit on the 1st.

2) My opinion, the virus problem, while not really Y2K, will hit PCs big time on the 1st.

3) Many "business system" problems, both mainframe and PC, will hit on the 1st. 4) Many other problems will not be obvious on the 1st. They will show up at month-end, or quarter-end.

Again, my opinion, the 1st will be a "big day" but problems will continue to accumulate for many months. Tick... Tock... <:00= -- Sysman (y2kboard@yahoo.com), October 12, 1999. "

-- The Exposer (exposing@the.idiot.memes), January 11, 2000.

"What's ironic is they don't realize that very soon, the people won't need us doomers to prod them into action. Strange and mysterious failures will motivate them quite handily at that point. I think also pollies need to place blame on us as they are basically spineless wimps who cower in fear at the idea of laying blame at the .gov or IT industry's feet.

Long-term, but not short-term, obviously, they're the real survivalists. But they're banking on the environment/fishtank they enjoy today to remain essentially unchanged (probably primarily due to a lack of imagination).......... where as we doomers don't. I could go on for days as I made polly trolls my private thesis for my Y2K master's degree, but why, anymore........... the pollies are insignificant, as of about a month ago. -- lisa (lisa@work.now), December 10, 1999. Good morning, cpr. I see you're practicing HTML again. Good for you! LOL

Your analogy is an insult to Jews everywhere. Comparing the Holocaust to the argument over Y2K is so far off base that it is no surprise that you posted as Anon. What is your normal handle, "No Concept Man"?

-- J (Y2J@home.comm), May 31, 2000.

Exposing Extremists of any ilk is no vice.

Covering up, spinning, denial, and failure to take responsibility for irresponsible extremist statements and acts is no virtue.

-- Anon (anon@anon.anon), May 31, 2000.

Hey, Anon! I was never rude to cpr over at biffy. I asked questions at biffy. cpr told me to get off the board. I don't think he even said it in a nice way. If you think doomers should have to take responsibility for what they posted, I think pollies should take equal responsibility for their own foul language, sexual characterizations, and rude responses. OR we could all just get over it. The y2k argument doesn't begin to approach the horror of the holocaust. Find something more current to be ugly about. y2k is boring now.

(Ye gods! I didn't even ask a male for permission to post this...what is happening to meeeeeeee.....)

-- helen (b@t.s), May 31, 2000.

This forum never was about y2k. This forum was about American freedom, and how we need to defend it. Sure there may have been an occasional post or two about y2k, but that was just background noise.

Notice how the Anti-freedom people try to change the subject and portray is an un-true light. Get used to it, they are going to step up their campaign, but we have freedom on our side.

Comparing petty ego-squables on an internet thread board to pogrom is inane ridiculous and hurtful.Get over yourself.

"...spinning, denial and failure to take responsibility for irresponsible extremist statements and acts is no act of virtue."
