Discovered this wonderful and informative site about Hawaii very recently and learned quite a bit more about Da 50th State than I did before. How did you spend your Memorial Day weekend? Despite the high numbers on the temperature scale, the weather was actually quite pleasant in Honolulu. The few rain clouds in the atmosphere overhead have added some magnificent colors to the sunrises and sunsets over the past few days. Spent some quiet times behind the camera trying to capture some of these truly God-sent colors on film, hope some of it would come out all right. The additional day-off offered some extra time for get-togethers with friends and families. We tried out the sumptuous Singapore shrimp rolls and a Spanish-flavored pizza (both new items) at Ala Moana California Pizza Kitchen, and they were both quite good. The newly remodeled China House II at Cultural Plaza was having a special discount on Dim Sum lunch and a superb place for a noisy but enjoyable Monday get-together with some of our friends. Just curious on how did others take advantage of the last weekend?
