To me, I guess, this image doesn't have much going for it. The bird is sharp and good depth of field. But I don't like the fact that there's no atmosphere. As a personal preference, I like wildlife photographs that show the environment in which the animal lives or that show something about their behaviour. This would be a wonderful shot for a field guide however! Especially if you could get him to move his tail away from the edge of the frame just a little bit...
