Need information on the Green Carter family. Green was the son of Labon Carter, married Heathy Fesperman, daughter of Micheal Fesperman, any information would be appreicated. He was killed in the civil war. Lea Morris

I don't have much on Green CARTER born about 1824 and wife Hetty? born 1828. They were living with his mother Susannah STOKER CARTER in Harris District No. 3 in Stanly County, NC in 1850 in household 276- 77 along with his brothers, Tillman age 28 and Doctor R. age 23. So Green and Hetty were married close to 1850. Have found no record of this marriage. Susanah CARTER was the widow of Labon CARTER. According to all the census records (1810 to 1850) for Stanly (Montgomery)County, Susanah and Labon had 11 children. I know 7.

There is a will for Sarah STOKER in Stanly Co. NC dated 25 Nov 1844. In this she mentions her sister Susan CARTER and several CARTER children including GREEN. Others named are ROBERT, TILLMAN, D. C. RICHARD, WILSON, BREEDY and Betty Allen FESPERMAN. I think Breedy is William B. CARTER and his family moved to Carroll County, Arkansas. Green and Hetty CARTER had these children. 1. Mary E. CARTER born 1851 married Isham P. (John) DOBY 23 MAr 1871 in Stanly Co. by J. R. Littleton. Isham was the son of CAlvin and Lucy DOBY. Ch: Larnce D. 1872, Zibbie B. 1874, Betty J. 1875, Dorra M. 1876, Luffy E. 1879 (from census) 2. Henrietta CARTER born 1853 married Emsley (Ephraim) HOPKINS 10 Jul 1869 by J. R. Littleton. He was the son of Thomas and Farlinda HOPKINS. Don't know about children. 3. Leah Susan CARTER born 1854 4. Robert J. CARTER born 1857 5. Sarah CARTER born 1858 6. Green CARTER born 1860

Gosh, they are my decendents and have some infor that might would help and if you are close to the Church or Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints; they have quite a bit on the Carter history and that is where I got some of my info
