Bingo, Truly a classic, and even you put in a guest appearance as the voice of reason.

It's the testosterone, men can't help it. Also maybe we've seen too many Clint Eastwood flicks. I think for most men that have posted at TB2000 or other highly spririted forums similar experiences have been encountered. At least this one was gentlemanly :)

Bingo:

Thanks for surfacing this one. My stomach started to knot about 3/4 of the way into the link as I saw posters that I'd previously admired behaving in ways I'd never imagined possible for them based on the reads after my entrance in June of 1999.

I can't say this link helped overcome the sensations I've experienced today that include my being in the wrong place.

Thanks for exhuming this one. Helps us understand why Big Dog was so very eager to use a closed forum to enforce his opinions. Kinda too bad he didn't manage to slam the barn door until it was obvious there never were any horses in there to begin with.

Does anyone know what happened to Arlin Adams? Who could possibly understand the sudden, total disappearance of such a staunch, upstanding and righteous man? Someone with such courage of his convictions too!

You're starting to worry me Flint. Your always even too rational self seems to be getting lost in recrimination. It's just a phase right? Looking foreward to better stuff.

Anita, may I ask what you mean by this? You OK? You didn't go & take that mother's little helper, did you? ;^)

Anita: I ditto w/Bingo1...could you explain please?

Just a wanting to know who you lost admiration for and why?

Bingo1 mothers lil helper...lol....sounds like a restart of the coke vs. pepsi thread...

Hawk thanks for reminding me which thread it was!!!

You're welcome sumer of the summer! Oh hey, it's not even summer yet, couple more weeks. :-) BTW, I think the idea of a "remember when" thread would be cool, and maybe one about stories of past experiences, urban legends, etc.

-- Hawk (flyin@hi.again), May 30, 2000.

LOL!

Did everybody feel like they were talking to a brick wall like I did?

-- Buddy (buddydc@go.com), May 30, 2000.

Buddy: Yes.

Bingo and Consumer: It's not healthy to surround oneself with negative thoughts. I felt the sensation of this yesterday on reading this forum and didn't like what I was feeling. I have no intention of killing myself, or blowing my mind with a drug.

Taking the thread off topic a bit, I watched a movie last night entitled "A Leap of Faith." It was actually about a woman's recovery from lymphoma, but demonstrated how the mind, when placed in a negative state, loses control over the body's healing ability.

For some reason, I "saw" what Brooks had mentioned previously, didn't like my body's response, and felt I should terminate the experience. That's all I meant. I could have had the same response from reading a book, but I listen to my body's signals and honor them.

I know exactly what you mean, Anita. You took corrective action & I applaud you for it. Thanks for sharing. We were worried.

There is more where that came from!

Incomperable Russ Lipton (Bingo's thread is #2 on that list. You should read all those....laugh-a-minute!)

Here is one not on that list...Parsing Ed's Statement (Long) -- Then On With It

Too Funny!
