BRISTOL & WEST BEING TOO HELPFUL!!! : LUSENET : Repossession : One Thread

Further to my question on our B&W Building S shortfall I am now a bit concerned that they are being too helpful. They sold the house at near enough the market value and have send particulars of similar houses in the same street to justify this. They have also send copy invoices of charges they have slapped on for gardening, lock changes etc that I queried as being excessively high. They have justified any admin charges as being for internal marketing etc. I dont know what line of fire to go for next - any suggestions? We dont have the cash to give them and couldn't afford monthly sums. Do we tell them this or keep quiet and wait until they take further action? We are now being referred to their Litigation Dept.

Could it not be that your lender's valuer valued it too high prior to your buying the property? This certainly seems to have happened to me - my flat was valued at #18,500 in 1991 but sold for #1,300 in 1995. I believe that the lender's claim ought to be against their contracted valuer, not hapless destitutes like us. Either that or they sold it too ceap. They can't have it both ways. Something's got to be "off", one would think. Good luck.
